He was doing the “don’t Pay attention to the shiny thing this organization gave away because there is a shiny thing that ‘could’ be even shinier coming.” Move.
I mean Frisaro is paid by the team. He is a very good reporter but he's also a shill for the team. It's not Jeter's fault that Castillo was traded twice, but it's still an attempt to whitewash the past.
right, but he was selected by the team to cover them for MLB.com. It's the same thing as the radio broadcast crew. They work for 940, but the Marlins are the one who selected them.
works that way for pretty much all the pro teams. Ex. for the Florida Panthers, the guy who covers the team for NHL.com sits in the press box next to all the Panthers Media relations people while the rest of the media is in different rows/tables. The only real difference between them is that his ID badge says FlaPanthers.com and theirs says Florida Panthers, but it's all the same team. There is enough separation to maintain "journalistic integrity" but it's still state run media.
International signings look good. Though Victor Victor has been a bit disappointing. His younger brother that signed for 750k might be the better brother.
I mean the deadline is tomorrow, I feel like most first rounders are playing rookie ball for their teams already
LOL well I guess that’s one way to do business I guess nobody cares down the line as long as they still get in, but jeez
to be fair, Rodon, the other option, hasn't been any good either. He at least made the majors, but the top 3 of that draft are all busts.
Actually Rodon has been solid when healthy, killed it through the minors and with a career ERA of 4.08 in the majors (partially inflated from his time this year that he was trying to throw through elbow inflammation that turned out to actually be a tear) Kolek sucked in the minors, blew out his arm, and is now sucking again in the minors
