15 Pillars of the Democratic Party 1. Healthcare for All - Everyone should have affordable healthcare 2. Colin Kaepernick / Disrespecting the Troops - Its not disrespecting the troops at all/Kap and Rapinoe are using kneeling to draw attention to issues of police brutality and inequality and support them 3. Reducing Income Inequality- Very complicated issue but I am very concerned at the wealth accumulation of the top 2% and the fact they seem to pay no taxes on it 4. Non-binary Gender Pronouns - Live and let live 5. Racial Equality - America has to be a terrifying place right now for minorities and we need to strike down laws that suppress minorities/I haven't heard a good argument for reparations 6. War on Christmas - What 7. Addressing Climate Change - I actually want my grandchildren to exist and am concerned if we don't take it seriously they may not 8. Persecuting the White Race - hilarious 9. Prison Reform - Pretty obvious the laws are structured to oppress the poor and vindicate the rich 10. Gayification of America's Children - Evangelicals are not smart 11. Eliminating Student Loan Debt - We should make college more affordable and the student loan industry are crooks. 12. Open Borders - My Irish ancestors checked in at Ellis Island. Immigrants built America. Let them in, make sure they pay taxes. 13. Ending Political Corruption - Probably the thing that i'm most interested in/terrified by. Disengenuous behavior and gaslighting is abundant. 14. Death to Israel - We should try to have a good relationship with all countries even if it means playing both sides of the coin. Need better diplomats. 15. Expanding Voting Rights - Even felons should have the right to vote.
You’re not an independent, at the very least you’re just an imperialist aka democrat like Pete. Although you might be more of a Warren guy. I recommend looking into her policies
are you sure you want to vote for republican pete because maybe I’d like to introduce you to my friend liz warren
So what exactly is your issue with the "far left" that you seem to have so much concern being identified as being left-leaning rather than the other side of the coin?
As a southern born Catholic into a Republican household. He’s probably been told all his life the Left is evil and is afraid to identify fully as one.
welcome to the echo chamber this is facetious which i'll point out this time as you're new here only the biggest of morons or people who don't actually read this thread think this is an echo chamber
the only unifying factor of this thread is "trump is a nightmare and a threat to america" from there you have former/still identify as republicans locally all the way to tankie communists
In the spirit of your tribute, I've been blaming everything on people who left my company and not doing anything new. Yes, I'll be the cocaine Mitch to your fat Donnie.
The people who think this is a echo chamber A robot lacking a brain a person named after a terrible cable company a weirdo with rape fantasies I'm good being here.
also a child concentration camp supporting moron who likely caused further destruction and pain in puerto rico due to his incompetence and abject stupidity
Warren is my #2 then Kamala. Warren has to be terrifying to the 1% because all her plans are paid for by actually taxing them (which many conservatives actually agree with). I generally like Pete the most because he's a) exceptionally brilliant and at the same time well adjusted b) a vet and an academic which is rare and c) him being a gay man in America means he can genuinely relate to people who are oppressed.
That all is very reasonable, thank you for entertaining our interrogation. Question, is there a candidate that, should they win the Dem nomination, you would abstain from voting for? Or vote in the opposite direction?
I'm no doubt left leaning but I don't see that there's a point in the left-right scale that makes you a certain party. When you go to the grocery store there aren't two boxes full of groceries sitting there for you to choose from. You pick out what you want from the shelves based on what appeals to you. I've voted for Republicans and Democrats in local elections based on the person and their plan for the state and not based on what party they were affiliated with.
I mean, if Gabbard won the nomination i'd stay home but that's not realistic. I also am not a Sanders fan though I would probably vote for him. I'd certainly would like to know who his VP would be because that dude would probably die in office.
Even better, born and raised Southern Baptist. I was raised right in that my father always taught us the most important thing in life is to be kind to people and leave the legacy of a good man. To him, that was being a good Christian. To me it is being on the right side of history. My father voted for Ross Perot in 1992 so its not like we were going to hell if we didn't vote Republican. That said, my mom went from a never-Trumper to full blown radicalized so I had to put in place a "we don't talk politics" referendum when we go visit my parents.
I've never voted in Mississippi. I was a Texas voter when I lived there and currently vote in Oklahoma where I live.
It's only a terrordome if you come in here and back kopmala and don't expect me to wrap you in a cocoon of horror.
