We went this December, right after the snowstorm. I doubt we’ll do it again in the near future, but it far exceeded my expectations (except for the amount of mouth-breathers and unruly children) and was well worth it IMO. I want to say my wife got us groupons, but I could be way off there.
We went last November while in town. It was really nicely dressed up for Christmas, but I felt pretty ripped off after we left to be honest. I think it was ~200 bucks for two tickets.
Been going to dirties for years to catch games. Back when we had hookers coming into the bar. Was kinda pumped on London road but they won’t allow kids which puts me in a bind now.
Wife will probably enjoy it, just don't expect to spend the day there. A couple hours on the grounds before your tour time will probably do if you don't have dinner reservations anywhere.
Yea it is. He’s only a few months so little easier. Heading to dirties now, but hit me up if y’all watch games.
yeah. gf has an infant and we weren’t allowed at barley’s to just grab a beer while friends played pool. said it was “against state law” which is unfettered horseshit
I’ve 100% seen kids at OLR I know it’s hard to believe I was focusing on anything but smoking Tobias in pool, but I was multitasking
She'll appreciate getting to one up her friends in their Facebook/Instagram pissing contest over who's living their best life
My favorite over there is probably Upcountry. New Belgium is close to west Asheville too Archetype is not bad. Haven’t been to oyster yet
Oyster is ok. It's not a place that I would choose to go to, but I wouldn't be against going if someone wanted to.
One World has a newish tap room in WAVL that's pretty dope. Also across the street is the Whale which is more of a beer bar, don't think they brew themselves, but a unique selection of beers. Both are dog friendly which is why I have opted for them over UpCountry lately ...
Forgot about One World...knew there was one more I was missing. Haven’t been to the Whale yet but heard good things.
Wedge is also not too far away from WAVL, one of my absolute favs I've been to Archetype. Nice room but didn't love the beer
how come you have never invited me over to your guest residence and your weekly croquet tournaments? Napoleon Bonerfart indeed.
Seems like Ashevillle real estate requires a few commas these days. If anyone is speculating I like Waynesville or Maggie Valley
Great time as usual. Breweries/bars I hit included UpCountry, Burial, Funkatorium, Wicked Weed, Jack of the Wood. Had a breakfast biscuit at City Bakery which was good. Came home with souvenirs including 2 books from Battery Park Book Exchange, a tshirt from Burial, and leftover beer. (You can hit a gas station up there and find a better selection than your local bottle shop sometimes). The concert was awesome -- it was behind some supermarket type deal on South French Broad Ave. Huge crowd out there
There’s like 8 people in this town that like football. Always a struggle. May meet up with some Auburn folks at Wild Wing.
