The only Pepsi ever made with a blue dial is on precious metal for reasons above. That reference is a black dial with oyster bracelet. Lots available for 10k in really good shape.
https://www.jomashop.com/rolex-watch-126710bksj.html I would never pay out the ass for white gold as compared to steel. Everose gold on the other hand though
Have any of you looked at StockX for watches? It's the #1 resell platform for shoes and they started doing watched a while back. They are basically the middle man and verifies condition and authenticity for the buyer.
Fam, that's the Rolex MSRP. You will never get them for that. Used you might be able to find one in great shape for 18k.
I looked for one a year ago and couldn't find one. I assumed it was bc it was a new hot item and eventually they'd be in stock and you could just walk in and buy one. Apparently that's not the case. So some Rolex just sit in the case all the time and others are always sold out and sell for 2x retail?
To get at retail I think you have to get on a "waiting list" that apparently doesn't even fucking exist? Idk.
I would go Explorer II polar if I'm buying a Rolex but that's outside of my price range right now. Looking at a Speedy or Seamaster as a present to myself for reaching a couple goals. The Tudor GMT or Black Bay Steel also in the mix.
The guy I talked to said they aren't allowed to have a list but able to have names on hand or some dumb shit like that. I assume they get backdoored to VIP's or people willing to pay $15k for them on the low.
https://www.bobswatches.com/ dblplay1212 I read it sells the most Rolex's in the country used. Might be worth a look to figure out market value through a reseller.
try this company dblplay1212 also you could contact one of these companies and have them look for one for you https://www.essential-watches.com/Rolex-Used/GMT-Master-II/Steel:2010s +
I've been obsessing lately over AP's Royal Oak Jumbo thins. I also like the Daytona 116505r ivory dial daytona, which is a bit more reasonably priced.
I assume you went to Underwoods. They have me on lists for several new, hard to find pieces. Had to meet the right sales rep, as the 1st few times they told me to pound sand. I met the Avondale store manager, at a networking event, a few months back... he told me to reach out to him direct if I ever wanted/needed anything. Might be able to get him to help, but you'll 100% have to buy it if he does. Better clear it with Cyn
I'm a grown ass man. I don't need her permission. Spoiler she already knows and gave me her permission
But honestly now that Tiger Tiger Woods Y'all showed me the older one with the oyster bracelet, I think I prefer that one. Need to do some research but it looks like the exact same watch, just different bracelet. If it is, I'll go that route.
My man wouldn't come off the number more than 5 points so I walked, then cried. Almost bought a Speedy for 3,800 out the door but just came back to this watch, which very few people seem to have in stock.
I was talking about Seamasters to my father in law, he says hold on a second and comes back with this. He has a huge tub of watches from his travels or during vintage shopping and just hoards them. Gave me an awesome Longines that I’ll have to take a pic of.
I ran into the Rolex store on 5th Ave today because I recently lost a bunch of weight and my bracelet got too large. I guess they were short-handed on associates at the storefront, so the lady asked me if I wanted to go up to the service center on the fifth floor. What a cool experience. I guess they have a ton of watch makers up there doing servicing. I didn't want to take pictures inside of the building, but they did give me this cool pouch for my links. It's the only Rolex branded item I have because I'm a no box, no papers poverty boi.
Tiger Tiger Woods Y'all found a 2007 Pepsi with the oyster bracelet. Never worn. All papers. Still have the plastic wrapping. They want $20k but it looks like you can offer. Any idea what a fair offer would be? They are in Georgia too so I'd just go get it. And what's the deal with the "rectangle dial"? I've seen several listings mention it and say it's "rare." Is that the little thing over the date? Were they rectangular a few years while circle the rest? https://www.chrono24.com/rolex/gmt-master-ii-stickers-nos-rectangle-dial--id11270626.htm
I'd love to know how a pawn shop in Bumfuck nowhere GA has a 2007 New Rolex GMT along with 10 other rolex's for sale
I've been to Fitzgerald. There's nothing in Fitzgerald. I assumed he was just buying and selling them online but I have no clue about the watch market.
Thanks. All of those are worn though. I'm not opposed to worn, just not sure how much price difference there is between unworn and worn in good condition.
Really thinking about getting this https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watches/seamaster/seamaster-1948/product
No. The "sticks" v. "rectangle" face description is in reference to the "II" after "GMT MASTER" on the face. There are two variations, one that looks like this "II" called "sticks" and one with the traditional roman numeral typography lines on the top and bottom of the numerals, creating a "rectangle" effect inside the serifs. The "sticks" version has been called an error, but really I haven't noticed significant pricing differences between them, for a while "sticks" was more expensive while "rectangle" was more rare. It's more urban legend and there's no indication that it wasn't intentional. As far as pricing, without knowing the dealer, I'm a bit surprised to see a mid-2000s 16710 new like that. I've seen used models between $15-25K.
For the platinum edition, limited to 70 pieces, yes. The 1,948 piece steel/white gold edition will be $6,400 retail. Omega is going all in on the limited edition watches.
FWIW, I think that this 1989 16710 for $13K is a better value. Plus Bob's is the best in the business and has a strong warranty. https://www.bobswatches.com/used-rolex-gmt-master-ii-16710-pepsi-bezel.html
They are substantially similar. Same model number. Here's a brief overview of that model number: http://www.gmtmasterhistory.com/gmt-master_ref_16710.html
Very minor differences. The lume used changed, portions of the case are slightly different. A later model 03-07 is going to me more similar to the newer Pepsi’s. But the differences aren’t drastic.
