Summing up the last few pages. 1. Futureman acted like an idiot with his Tom Hanks write-in vote. I hope he knows that now and doesn't act in such a dumb way in the future. 2. That said, he's not wrong about Hillary neglecting Michigan and Wisconsin until it was too late. 3. Liz Warren is the shit and herb.burdette needs to recognize. 4. Trump needs to have a stroke ASAP. 5. Jake Tapper blows. 6. The MSM is really fucking stupid.
Apparently, The New Yorker is set to publish a deep dive into Alan Dershowitz. Would be glorious if this is of the Ronan Farrow and/or Jane Mayer variety.
Cuomo rubs me wrong a lot, but he just fired into one of the budget blonde idiots with a "hypothetically, If Trump said 'I am racist' would you still support him?" and she had nowhere to go. They just don't care.
Reaction seems a bit overblown to this rally. None of this is new info, just a further removal of the abstraction the GOP has been building the last few decades. His rallies are basically a WWF spectacle and those idiots go to have a good time.
remember when people called lots of us crazy for having the gall to claim trumps rhetoric would expand from deportation, to outright violence, go from undocumented immigrants, to immigrants, now citizens its almost like if you looked at history for five minutes you'd see the playbook
I take the view that the more over the top these are, the better. Shine the brightest light you can on these assholes.
The point of the rally is to scare legalized citizens who immigrated here from non-euro/white countries. Make them fear so much for their lives that they leave on their own. You get to say you never forced them to leave but are glad they are gone. Every single act from Trumps tweet to GOP leaders saying it’s not racist to tonight’s rally is calculated and premeditated. The next step will be for the justice department to float the the idea foreign born, naturalized citizens who dissent the Presidents beliefs be labeled traitors. It would never pass legislation and likely will go nowhere in courts but it will cause another exodus. Then you go after House Dems as traitors. Then, the hoods go on and the Army learns the goose step. That’s the plan. Whether it works is up to the American people. Again, they’re following the Nazi playbook.
Total votes mean nothing. Of course there’s more votes in 2016 than 1916, there’s more people. Need to put the numbers into perspective by using % of eligible voters.
was soooooo much of this from when Trump announced through about Charlottesville is when it quieted down
2016 - 58.1% 2012 - 58.6% 2008 - 61.6% 4.4 million 2012 Obama voters stayed home https://www.google.com/amp/s/fiveth...-home-probably-cost-clinton-the-election/amp/
Most of the responsibility is on individual voters and the collective electorate. When you observe one of the two binary choices for POTUS saying he would build a wall to keep Mexican rapists out, ban Muslims, lock up his opponent, mock disabled people and war heroes, disparage women, lie about everything, and whose political rise started with birtherism, and you shrug your shoulders and say “well, I’ll sit this one out,” or you spend your vote on Tom Hanks, that’s squarely with all those folks. That and the the typical low turnout among younger slices of the electorate. 2016 was an exercise in how much many Americans just took things for granted.
I'm never been a huge politics guy. I've been vocal about that in the past. Trump's disgusting behavior has made me much more aware and I follow it way more now. I'd like to think there's a lot of people out there like me that will show up just to vote for anyone but Trump. I think there will be a record turnout vote in the next election.
Probably but I think there's more anti-Trump voters that didnt show up last time than Trump supporters that didn't show up.
Awww. You sound like me last election thinking there’s no way an idiotic, pos bigot could be elected in 2016.
love that a ton of voters from broward, florida, very mysteriously completely forgot to to even fill in votes for senator
the concern, which 2018 results and polling suggests to an extent, is that there was an appreciable 3rd party vote in 2016 that will be Trump converts in 2020; in the States that are going to determine the electoral college. Bill Weld will not garner a similar vote share that Gary Johnson (rofl) pulled. Idk if Jill Stein is back on the ballot. The hope is some of that % share are Gary Johnson voters who vote for the Democrat in 2020 but were just too turned off to vote for Clinton 2016 bc of right wing media consumption.
