This is incredible. Dude's a literal club fighter who fights weekly. http://boxrec.com/en/boxer/471637
He said after the fight that he was supposed to fight someone else but they pulled out. Glad this guy could find an open week to squeeze this fight in.
Whyte survives the big shot and will win the fight. Being in trouble against Rivas though doesn’t bode well, which sucks cause I like Dillian as a fighter.
There’s an argument to be made that he’s the 5th best HW in the world right now. Wilder, Fury, Ruiz and AJ are in their own tier and in whatever order you’d like. Whyte’s resume says he’s right at the top of that second tier. But you’re right, hard to get a feel for how wide exactly that gap is between the top 4 and Whyte from an actual fight skills standpoint and not just a resume. Varies on the day, honestly.
At times I want to think on a good night he could beat one of the top 4 but he seems like he's scraped by in a bunch of fights too. He had Joshua hurt but Joshua seems to get caught in every damn fight. I'd like to see him against Wilder
Wilder is the fight I’d like to see too. Really fun and interesting matchup. Though AJ-Whyte doing a rematch in the UK would be bonkers as well.
Predictions? Mine I’ll probably be rooting for Thurman but I think Pac pulls it out. Hope I am proven wrong
Right there with you. Better for boxing if Thurman wins, but Manny’s looked better the last few times out.
He just mentioned the body punch I remember the most. Hopkins knocking out De La Hoya and me thinking he has to be faking.
I'll always remember the corner yelling out "body shot, body shot" in that round then BHop landed that liver shot from hell right after. I had the same thought though, thought he had to be faking.
