Listening to 6-22-94. That 2nd set is a heater. Love that Trey starts off the set talking about the NBA finals then references them again leading into an all time Icculus. Mike was on fire that night. I had this show on cassette back when trading tapes and CDs in the mail was a thing. Never found it on CD back then but it was the tape that got me hooked. Later it became LivePhish 10.
Yes. I'de like to start this set out by saying 1st Quarter, Houston by 5. There are definitely some deeper jams in other shows but the way they weave in and out of Simple and Catapult played over midnight rider teases and then into that Icculus all sandwiched in a Mike's Hydrogen Weekapaug is incredible.
7/23/17 is the most underrated of the BD shows and the wolfman’s > twist > waves is the best 35 minutes of the entire run
11/26 and/or 11/27 Manchester 11/29 and 30 Providence 12/1 and 12/2 Nassau 12/4 Charlottesville 12/6-8 Atlanta Area
Yeah, with STS9 at the Tabby, too. I believe it was NYE 2007. Nothing quite like riding the elevator after the show with a family of Barners (mom, dad, and kids) just getting back from the game and my friends being unable to control their laughter. I think for that run we did 28th and 29th at STS9, and had tickets for Panic on the 30th and 31st. Went to Panic on the 30th, and then sold the 31st tickets and went to STS9 instead. Twas a fun run, especially when the lots would join forces before and after the shows. It was mayhem.
Atty is pretty confident about the Nassau and Providence dates. The others around it are more up in the air.
Atty also now says he thinks it would be Phillips in Atlanta, not Duluth. Possible announcement in early August. Go ahead and get a hotel just in case.
Went to the biscuits NYE run in 2016 and had to hang out with a bunch of bammers due to the playoff being in Atlanta at the time.
Updated Atty dates: (maybe/probably not) 11/26 SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH (maybe) 11/27 or 12/4 SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH 11/29 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 11/30 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 12/1 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Live, Uniondale, NY 12/2 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Live, Uniondale, NY or Apollo Theater, New York, NY (maybe) 12/4 John Paul Jones Arena, Charlottesville, VA? (maybe) 12/6 State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA (maybe) 12/7 State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA (maybe) 12/8 State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA (maybe) 12/10 VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, FL? (maybe) 12/11 Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, FL?
I went to Panic NYE at Phillips when Duke/TAMU played the Peach Bowl that night. Got Burning Down the House, was rad. Think they played the Fox or somewhere for a couple nights before that.
Atlanta is OFF THE MAP. booooooo “Quick and Dirty Revision. Pre (and/or post) Island Tour dates deserve greater skepticism, but think some of them will happen. 11/24 U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati, OH or SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH? 11/26 SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH or North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston, SC (and/)or (12/4) VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, Jacksonville, FL? 11/27 SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH or North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston, SC (and/)or (12/5) Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, FL? 11/29 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 11/30 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 12/1 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Live, Uniondale, NY 12/2 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Live, Uniondale, NY or Apollo Theater, New York, NY”
I saw them in 2016 on like a Tuesday and they were solid. Then Lockn 2017....Rob had just been diagnosed w/ cancer so he skipped and Phil Lesh subbed in. Atypical moe. set (obviously) but it was dope. Setlist: Phil.moe. | LOCKN’ Music Festival | Arrington, VA | 8/29/17 Box of Rain, Silver Sun > The Other One > Silver Sun (reprise)&, Ophelia#, Four >Bird Song > Four (reprise) > Phil thank you/Bobby intro, The Music Never Stopped^, Sugar Magnolia* > Scarlet Begonias* > Sunshine Daydream*
I will be there in the 1XX sections. I have seen BT twice, listened to some moe on YT and have not heard any music from the third band.
I still enjoy moe. but I think they made a mistake doing this amphitheater tour with Blues Traveler. My friend sent me a picture from a show in Charlotte this week and the venue was maybe 25% full, looked sad.
I'll mule some drugs in for us. FYI - the wife won't give me a pass to go out on a Sunday night or more than 1 night a week, but Gov't Mule is playing Kessler on Sunday and Heartbyrne is playing Granada tonight. Heartbyrne is a really fun Talking Heads cover band from Austin. Their lineup includes some of the members from A Live One, a solid Phish cover band from Austin. I highly recommend checking them out.
G Love was like the band back in 2000 that Dave Matthews Band fans decided was their second favorite band. Perhaps third behind OAR.
Announcement today: 11/29 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 11/30 Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI 12/1 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at NYCB Live, Uniondale, NY (maybe) 12/2 Apollo (or alternate) Theater(/club venue), New York, NY 12/3 Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA 12/4 Petersen Events Center, Pittsburgh, PA 12/6 North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston, SC (or John Paul Jones Arena, Charlottesville, VA?) 12/7 North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston, SC 12/8 North Charleston Coliseum, North Charleston, SC (or John Paul Jones Arena, Charlottesville, VA?)
^would consider doing the whole run if it lined up like this. You can fly into providence for cheap and every stop through Pittsburgh is within a 3.5 hour drive of the previous city. 11/29-30 are already holidays.
Atty making some last minute changes again! Atlanta possibly back on the map. He still seems very unsure about anything that isn't the island tour dates.
From reddit: Fall Tour 2019 is happening. A buddy of mine who works for LiveNation sent me art for the announcement. I can only confirm the Nassau show, but the art is VERY similar to the Summer Tour announcement. Stay tuned... UPDATE(Forgot to mention)* Announcement is TODAY.
