The Banks it’ll come as no surprise that Boa no-showed the meister party at the square and left the stadium before the presser. We knew he was probably gone after this year but at least hit the party up man.
I was thinking about it and if Hummels stays, we’ll have a back line of: Alaba-Sule-Pavard-Kimmich That leaves Hernandez, Hummels, Lars Lukas Mai as rotation players. Kimmich, Hernandez and Javi Martinez can all play a defensive mid but I honestly don’t like Kimmich at all in that role having watched Löw handcuff the DFB with it and Kovac try it early on this year. Hernandez can play LB and RB, which will give some flexibility for rest. Doesn’t account for Marco Friedl who is on loan at Bremen. He barely played this season but they want to make it a permanent transfer, which is probably best for both sides. I know Nürnberg want Lars but I really want to hold onto him. He’s only 19 and already has first team minutes under his belt. Definite loan candidate and we rarely loan without a buyback. You throw de Ligt in there and it’s a logjam. Somebody or two need to go first, realistically.
Hummels next year is the easiest solution. Alaba on the left, Kimmich on the right with de Ligt, Hernandez, Sule holding down the middle and Pavard being able to fill in wherever.
According to the internets, Bild is reporting that Bayern has made an offer for Rodri, there is Sane news dropping tomorrow, James is gone and Lewandowski signed an extension thru 2021.
Your roster is so stacked. We held up ok with basically a B team playing it’s first game. Fuck you for killing Theo
Hopefully its not broken and only a bad bruise. He was eclectic last night. Very excited about his future with this team
Pretty good article about the power struggle on the board. It’s hard to argue with Hoeneß success after he took over, with 40 trophies, but he’s a shit human being and is probably responsible for our cringeworthy transfer gaffes of late. I suspect Brazzo and Kovac will get the boot after he leaves in November. Kahn has been really outspoken about modernizing the club and I have long been a Rummenigge fan, as he’s the anti-Üli. https://www.bavarianfootballworks.c...l-pressure-front-office-karl-heinz-rummenigge
So to sum up our window(s): Lucas Hernandez from Athletico Madrid for 80M Benjamin Pavard from Stuttgart for 35M Jann Fiete Arp from Hamburger for 3M Ivan Perisic loaned from Inter for 5M Mickael Cuisance from Borussia Monchengladbach for 12M Philippe Coutinho loaned from Barcelona for 8M plus option to buy for 120M next year
Yeah and the first three were done six months ago, the rest were done in the last 6 days. Awful, although if the Havertz rumor from this morning is true, I won’t be as bent about it.
Has he even said he would leave on a free? He's Leverkusen born and bred from everything I've ever seen.
Bayer said that they will let Havertz leave when he is ready to. Probably just another war chest speculation since the Sane deal fell through and Coutinho was cheap
This was my first hunch. Just don't see anyway Leverkusen would sell with less than two weeks left in the window.
I chalked it up to war chest propaganda but it was addressed by Falk as being in the early stages. Leverkusen, like most BL teams sells to stay in business and they know they’re sitting on a winning lotto ticket. My honest opinion is every detail of Bayern’s negotiation gets leaked to drive the price up, although it’s already over a hunnit. It should also be noted that we tried to buy him before the Sané saga and got denied by Leverkusen, so that news isn’t completely out of left field.
No doubt. They have a great stadium and great fan support. Plus all that leftover nazi, I mean aspirin monies.
Negotiations underway to send Sanches to Lille. They want to buy him on the cheap, Bayern wants a loan with an option.
Obviously Boateng didn’t get sold when it seemed everything was done. Turns out Juve got word that he was being charged with aggravated battery on his former business partner and Germany doesn’t play. It should be noted that his former business partner is his current girlfriend of 10 years and mother of his twin daughters. Conviction would mean visa issues.
