I went to some fundraiser at the Decatur Chai Pani right when it opened and they had these amazing soup-filled dumplings. I also won some portrait in a raffle that was just a random mustachioed Indian man.
Went to ATL this past weekend and had a nice time. Krog market and that beltline trail are pretty cool until you get ran over by a bride tribe on limes.
I got an email from lime saying that they will be using geofencing to limit the speeds in those areas
Left a bird on over by piedmont park last Saturday at like ten, didn't shut off until Monday around noon. Was an interesting map to show my ride, someone had some fun with it and fortunately since it was my first blackout trip they waived the $120 fee. Sotto Sotto pork chop is great... Going to Brush this weekend blessed be thy
Coming back for Labor Day Weekend after moving about 2 years ago. When I moved, New Realm was just being built and the beltline ended at Krog. What's new and cool?
Best bagels ITP. They used to set up at during the piedmont park farmers market and I destroyed those things for years. New place is good too.
Went to A Mano again the other night. That place is quietly one of the better restaurants in Atlanta. I've yet to see it crack a top 50 list, but think it's better than many that frequently make best restaurant lists
That is on my list for when I come back... it opened right after I moved away but was right around the corner from my place. BoccaLupo is still the best pasta I've ever had - I think their Executive Chef was there before he came to A Mano.
What’s that area like? Never been and obviously the first thing I imagine is “Turner Field” so I’m not too familiar with what’s down there.
Everything I've had at A Mano is superb. The carbonara is my personal fav, though nothing I've had on the menu has been less than excellent. I'd also order the burrata as an app when you go, so good.
You should go. Go to Wood's chapel, then big softie for soft serve or the new beer place next to big softie called Halfway Crooks. Has a nice rooftop to drink on.
They are all over the place in D.C. too. The worst place I've seen them was randomly San Diego. There were like 30 of them per block.
Damnit so pisssed at myself, went to Atlanta not long ago and ate good...but damnit I forgot to go to The Vortex! Two sandwiches I wanna try..l.gotta go back soon lol.
I wanna try the chicken sandwich with the egg, and the cheeseburger with the habanero.....they were on the food channel.
Went to Monday Night Garage before the Atlanta United match on Sunday. Great spot and easy Lyft to MBS.
Stayed with some friends who just bought a condo in midtown. Krog market was really cool and got did the scooter thing. They are obviously convenient way of travel, but holy hell I can't imagine having to deal with them every day. My first Uber one wouldn't go over 4mph. Was not fun.
In town for the braves game tomorrow. Just had dinner at Bon Ton and was definitely at the next booth from Jon Hamm and Olivia Wilde They are shooting some movie here evidently
Jermaine Dupri was behind us in line at aiport security this morning. I told my wife who it was and her immediate response was to ask if she could yell "welcome to Atlanta!" when he got through
This place can get fucked. #1 what kind of place on the beltline opens at 4pm? #2 telling me I need a reservation and cant go sit at the bar with 3 people at it while I am standing in a half empty restaurant Fuck off idiots
Maybe they will learn and change. The upstairs patio wasn't even open. It was fucking retarded on such a beautiful day
Ya I walked by there yesterday at 2pm to try it out, and they weren’t open yet. I told the guy who worked there it probably wasn’t smart to not even have the patio open on such a nice day and he just shrugged his shoulders. Went to pour instead.
I was there at the same time haha. Also went to Guacy Margys and Hawkers. Guacy place had a ice luge.
Can confirm the geofencing scooters...was coming home from a date at Barcelona late Friday night and the thing wouldn’t speed up until I pulled off on to Somerset at New Realm. I was hammered so probably good in retrospect
maybe it's owned by the same idiots that opened that place on the beltline that only let people in or out of certain doors. think it was new realm that did that crap
