From what I've read....they're supposed to be one of the quicker adopters of Android updates. Example: https://www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro-oneplus-6-oneplus-6t-android-q-dp3-new-features/ Spoiler Excerpt from that page which was posted 10 days ago: "We’re getting close to the first stable Android Q release for the Google Pixel smartphones, and it looks like OnePlus won’t be too far behind on providing the next major update judging by how far along they’ve already come."
Nice. Might have to roll with them when I decide to move on from my Pixel 3. Trying to make this phone last two years though.
I'm still rocking the LG V20 which is a 3 year old phone at this point so I'm expecting any new phone, especially the OnePlus 7 Pro will be a major upgrade in every way for me. Feel free to @ me when you're getting ready to pull the trigger. I'll be able to provide a good review by that point.
lotta yikes for me in here with people extolling the virtues of android phones. from a privacy and security perspective apple is the only manufacturer worth trusting.
Yikes indeed! https://bgr.com/2019/07/19/iphone-security-pegasus-nso-group-icloud/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/kateof...eavesdropping-puts-millions-of-users-at-risk/ https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/9607413/iphone-siri-trick-locked-mobile-message/ https://www.idropnews.com/news/ipho...h-new-ways-to-make-whats-yours-theirs/112902/ https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-disables-walkie-talkie-app-over-iphone-security-flaw-2019-7 https://appleinsider.com/articles/1...es-to-probe-security-and-develop-ios-exploits https://9to5mac.com/2019/07/15/apple-privacy-report-legislation/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/daveyw...d-ios-13-will-pose-security-and-privacy-risk/
defensive much? never said they were perfect, and they're miles ahead of Android. half of those links are just clickbait titles, and the serious flaws apple usually disables the offending feature ASAP until they have it fixed. my non-flagship android phone stopped getting updates after six months, apple just released an ios security update for a phone that is like 5 years old. keep trying but i'm right
Android users are really defensive for people who are certain they’re using the right technology. Very little brother of them. You could say they’re the A&M of phones.
I’ve had almost no experience with android phones until my company issued these because of their push-to-talk function: It’s serviceable but I’m going to stick to Apple because this thing is illogical
Like a predictable fanboy you post that Apple is the only manufacturer worth trusting. I respond with 8 recent examples of their security/privacy being compromised. If you want to call that defensive like that's some sort of embarrassing thing. ok. In reality I was just showing that your belief in fully trusting them is silly. It's a shame your little fanboy iHeart can't handle that.
It doesn’t really prove anything, I could easily find 8 articles about android exploits and phones being left unsupported with security flaws. I don’t fully trust Apple but they’ve done a lot more than any other manufacturer to show they try to protect privacy. But hey, enjoy your phone.
I like Apple because their security was poor enough to allow for the fappening so I will always appreciate them for that.
wes tegg likes “This statement shows a lack of knowledge about social engineering.” Four our android friends.
I honestly can’t imagine being the type of person that wakes up every day and tries to shame someone about using either an Apple or Android product. Bad food or beer opinions though, those are totally fair game.
Counterpoint, Apple is like Trump and racist af and created green text bubbles in an attempt to further divide our once great country.
I last cared about demeaning apple/defending android in like 2013. Everyone's ship has sailed on this.
I also despise my Mac book pro. It’s terrible and I threaten to break it all the time. I won’t, but I will be trading it in for a non Apple laptop without my wife knowing
Just not a fan. It’s the first Apple computer I’ve ever owned personally. My parents have a desktop Mac and I liked it but just don’t care for the laptop.
I have an iPhone and everything but “green text shaming” is just carrying water for a massive corporation that is paying you nothing
had a macbook air that was wildly overkill for the last 6-7 years chromebook is much better and 1/4 the cost
I don't care what you use/like, I'm just saying your wife is most likely going to kill you for doing this behind her back.
Except it does. It proves your head is in the sand when you say things like "only manufacturer worth trusting". I'm sure you could...so?
thats your opinion chromebooks arent good for stuff other than just browsing the internet and maybe watching videos
