Just got four star RB Knighton over Ohio St and we will likely get another four star RB this week as well.
It’s been a great off season. Huge coaching upgrades in three spots, class is pretty good considering the season we had and Leavitt might be coming on board as soon as Friday as an analyst.
I’ve always heard that landing a guy who has been unemployed for 9 months and passed over for every DC opening in the country is a huge get.
It hasn’t been nine months and due to his contract buyout with Oregon he’d lose money if made a decision prior to June 30th. He’s looked at FSU, UF, LSU and Denver for analyst jobs for 2019. The more you know.
Interesting take from a guy who said this about the OL coach that we fired and UF brought on as an analyst.
So, the duration of unemployment is more important than the prior track record of success or even the reason why the employment ceased? That's harvard of the south logic if I've ever heard it.
Jim Leavitt was fired for hitting a kid. He’s also a known maniac who is hated by just about anyone who has played for him. By all means, let’s not talk about “track record.”
Former college head coach/ DC hired as an analyst and it is a bad thing? Your school was trying to get him for the same role
https://www.denverpost.com/2019/07/28/jim-leavitt-cu-buffs-football-mel-tucker/ “He’s planning on watching Tucker’s Buffs in person, as well as Fangio’s Broncos, as often as he can. Despite job offers for analyst positions from a handful of SEC and ACC bluebloods, Leavitt is leaning toward a fall in BoCo, re-charging his batteries and tending to the women in his life: wife Jody; daughters Isabella and Sofia; and his mother, 93-year-old Lois, whom he’s spent a chunk of the summer with, commuting from Boulder to her residence in the Tampa Bay area.”
Couldn’t blame him if he did that. Just lots of rumblings and he was in town last week discussing contracts.
I just wanted to quote the OP so we all could appreciate what brought us here. Everything posted ITT has pales in comparison to this masterpiece.
3/1 odds that Bud laughed the loudest of everyone and almost convinced people it was genuine laughter.
Thought it was going to happen. He was at FSU on July 22nd to discuss an analyst job. At least he didn’t choose another school over us. Would have loved to have him. Oh well.
