Watched it again last night and black widows death this time hit really hard. I’ve gotten goose bumps every time at on your left.
The more times I watch this movie the more I love how they summed up both Tony and Steve's arcs. They've been opposite sides of the coin the whole time, culminating in Civil War obviously, but both their arcs end with them flipping the coin: Tony finally doing something selfless and Cap finally realizing it's ok to be selfish sometimes.
When you know you’re raising them right: Kid jumps down the bottom 1/3 of the stairs onto a couch cushion and crashes into the wall. I run and ask him wtf he was thinking.... “Whats up danger?” Can’t argue with that.
Finished watching the last 90 minutes while doing cardio at the gym tonight Could have run through a fucking brick wall when Portals starts playing
Could see the heralds of Galactus be the baddies in some stand alone movies until we get to Galactus.
Fiege said Scarlett witch was the only one who could have killed thanos by herself. Including captain marvel. Pretty sure that’s what dirt ball is trying to say.
Not sure where he said Captain Marvel couldn’t have done it. But they’re setting up her power levels for what she does at the end of Wandavision which leads to Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, IMO. My guess is she loses it and shifts reality somehow.
I mean she was literally crushing him to death in his own armor before he had his ship start bombardment.
Marvel’s tent pole film of the year always releases late April/early May. All the Avengers, Civil War, etc. DS2 releases during that timeframe. It’s going to be the defining film of Phase 4, and will probably include A LOT more characters than just Wanda and Dr. Strange’s ensemble.
Interesting because I have this old timer in my office who’s been collecting comics for 50ish years. Bought #1 of some of the classics right off of the shelves, knows obscure characters. He’s essentially a Marvel Encyclopedia and he’s always been bothered at how the MCU made Thanos so overpowered compared to his origins in the comics.
Depowerment of Thanos? How? His power levels are pretty on par with the comics. I’ll listen to people arguing Captain Marvel is OP in the MCU and they are trying to force a female lead down our throats, but Wanda in comics can literally shift reality by her wishes. Like I said, I think they are trying to set up her power levels to prepare viewers for what is going to happen in WandaVision and DS2.
Agree w/ you on Thanos but SW has only shifted reality once but that was on a multiversal scale though.
It was actually twice with House of M and Decimation, but, regardless, in the comics, she is on a power level which could definitely rival Thanos. She can literally alter reality. Thanos can’t do that. Saying she can go toe to toe with him isn’t disrespectful to Thanos’ power levels in the comics, IMO. God I’m a fucking nerd.
The problem is in the comics her powers didn't come from the mind stone, that's what makes the MCU version's take of her being more powerful than gauntlet Thanos hard to believe.
She obviously is going to fuck up reality by bringing Vision back. First though, since its post Endgame where are then infinity stones? Has anyone said officially? If you think about the timeline, Cap puts them back in place, then Thanos would get them and eventually destroy them BUT now Thanos has been killed before he ever collected them so they wouldn’t be destroyed DOUBLE BUT time travel doesn’t work like Hot Tub Time Machine so they can’t change the events in the past so that means the stones should be dust now? I think she does one of two things. She somehow remakes/recreates/rebirths the Mind Stones through her cosmic link to its powers. And that creation royally fucks up the multiverse. OR they don’t include the stones at all and she somehow learns how to form a dimensional rift to bring a Vision from another multiverse back to hers and royally fucks up the multiverse.
Captain Marvel’s powers came from the space stone, and Feige has said repeatedly said she is the most powerful when it comes to physicality in the MCU. While Wanda’s powers originated from the Mind Stone (apparently), why would that make her potential less than CM? Her power potential just lies in a different area.
Guys. Picture it. The year is 2040. The giant X-Men/F4/Cosmic/New Avengers crossover phase 6 conclusion movie takes place. The pinnacle scene where Kang/Gallactus/SuperSkrull/Apocalypse finally unite to destroy all the hero’s and are about to destroy the world......then a random rift is formed....out walks old man Stark, old man Cap, and present day Thor (because Hemsworth is perfection and will never age) to save the day.
The stones were reduced to atoms in the accepted MCU timeline. The power of the stones is still out there but no longer concentrated into the stones themselves.
“I’m gonna get you all the cheeseburgers you want”.... Some day I’ll watch Endgame without tearing up, that day is not today.
Thanos’ move to keep CM from taking a full stone gauntlet from him was to pull one of those stones and hit her with it soooo...
So obviously did. I’m on board for Falcon Cap, but I really, really wanted Bucky Cap. We’ll get there.
Thanos literally has reality warping resistance in the comics. Comic Thanos has no trouble with Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, or any other character introduced so far.
don't powers differ depending on who is writing at the time? I'm admittedly not a comic guy, but it all seems like a silly thing to argue. the MCU is its own universe is it not?
It’s semantics, but Wanda’s powers were created with the mind stone experimentation, and CM’s from energy from an engine that derived properties from the space stone. CM’s powers were one step removed from the stone.
You guys know so much about comics it amazes me. Always interesting to read about these things I have no clue about, while enjoying the movies.
