I dont have the 4K but the latest non 4K model and it works great. Love my appletv. If you have apple products it just make life easier. Especially if you need to find a random sports stream you don’t have a subscription to. Can just air play it to the TV.
Airplay is nice, though I like Chromecasting better if I'm on my Macbook. Airplay works much better on the iPad though. I'm glad my new Samsung TV has Airplay since I got rid of my Apple TV about a year ago because it got slow as shit and was virtually impossible to do anything on it. Would be sick if it had Chromecast too.
It's 2019 and iTunes still doesn't let me speed up or slow down podcasts like they've been able to do on iOS since 1942. I am prepared to riot.
I upgraded from an 8 plus to a Xs Max but the 8 plus has iOS 12.3.2 which isn’t compatible with the Xs so I can’t set up the phone using my most recent backup. If I set it up using an old backup that has 12.3.1 I’ll lose all of the data I have saved between the two. Is there any way to fix this? Can I revert the 8 plus back to 12.3.1 without losing anything?
I have the Apple Watch 4 and dropped it one morning and cracked the screen. I called around and it’s $350 to replace the screen. (No I didn’t buy Apple care-yes I should have). I bought the glass screen cover and a bumper for it at bestbuy. ($30 for each so pretty good products I would think) While outside doing yard work I notice the Apple logo on the watch. I reset it and now the screen will not come on. Anyone know of a fix? I googled it, tried the hard reset but still nothing.
So your old phone has a newer OS than what was shipped on your new phone? If that’s the case you set up the Xs from scratch and then update it to current software then you can do a restore from your saved restore from the 8.
The casting is a streaming protocol and has an official SDK (that is, SOFTWARE development kit), just like Airplay, and is available on a wide range of devices.
I hate it on iPad OS though I don't know if it's any different than it was on just iOS on the iPad. Such a terrible mail app.
I’ve only used the native app. And calendar app. Work syncs it all up. Never really had issues. Maybe other apps are better but ignorance is bliss
I use the Google Calendar App. I have it pulling in both my Exchange Calendar, my Gmail Calendar, as well as my bff's Apple Calendar. (I had to share the apple calendar as a public link so that is a bit concerning). But it works.
I have 3 emails in my mail that I manage pretty well. One is personal junk that I use to sign up for stuff. Other is personal that I give to friends/family. Last is work. For some reason my work is the only one where I don’t get the banner notifications any more and it’s definitely turned on. Anyone else see this happen.
I’ve switched to fantastical and it works well with talk to create event. I use google calendar for my business. never heard of spark.
Three cameras on the back, upgraded front camera, upgraded processor, and upgraded WiFi/cellular speeds. Notch will remain, 3D Touch is out. https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/2019-iphones/
It's being replaced by just long pressing. It accomplishes the same thing and allows them to eliminate some expensive hardware.
I think I'm gonna skip that phone and just use my X for another year or two. What an ugly backside lmao.
I like it for keyboard swiping instead of tapping around text trying to move the curser. I guess it’s back to the old way since long pressing keys brings up alternate letters already.
Apparently also an in-screen fingerprint reader, the notch disappearing, and all models going to OLED screens. Several Android manufacturers have triple lenses on the back and have produced a much more tasteful looking design than this god awful abomination of the square camera bump Apple will be rolling out.
