I had a Chromebook at one point. I tried using it as my primary machine and just gave it away after 2 months because it was fucking stupid to use that as a primary machine. If that's what you want, just get an iPad instead.
One day she will kill me to make it look like a suicide but not for this. She’s never even messed with it outside of the few days after we bought it. She just uses her iPad for everything. If I bought a silver one and just slapped an Apple sticker on it and set it back on the desk she wouldn’t notice it for a very long time. Yet she just had to have it
I’m now thinking about it and I can’t think of a single time she’s used it other than when we first got it and getting it set up. It only has my email and account info on it as she’s never even set hers up on it
Not really my latest purchase (3 echo dots 3rd gen for $20 a piece at Best Buy) but this one did just arrive in the mail this week from the Ukraine. It's a mid 70s - early 80s, 17 jewel, mechanical Pobeda made in the USSR. Was hesitant at first knowing this was once some commie's watch but decided in the end to buy it. Just seemed pretty cool knowing that around the same time I was being born this watch was possibly strapped to the wrist of some chain smoking, vodka chugging, bear wrestling Ruski.
Has anyone done a Filson repair? My work bag got a pretty bad hole in the one outer pocket and the strap came undone (it would pop out as soon as I put it on my shoulder). Just curious what kind of condition I can expect it back in. All seemed fixable enough that I doubt they will just replace it.
Got an older plain Bama Hockey jersey off of Ebay last week and today received some numbers to go on the back/sleeves. After extensive research I found a site that does the twill numbers that cost about $17. https://www.stahls.com/sim-stitch-letters-numbers
Just bought a house and will be filling it up with shit. Someone school me on why these are the washer and dryer of TMB.
A faulty outlet fried my outdoor tv. Back in the market for an outdoor 40+ inch cheap tv. Probably just going to hit up walmart.
Check all over, I got a steal at Target on them during a 4th July sale. Regardless you won’t be paying much and they are solid.
I've had my briefcase (messenger bag) since college. Probably around 2002. I've beat the shit out of this thing, but it has held up like a champ. Alas, it's finally getting a worse for the wear. If some things happen at the job in a few months, I may gift myself a new one. Anybody have experience with Custom Hide? I like the simplicity of their bags. TYdeFan05
Just got the finished product back. It certainly doesn’t look like original, as they make very clear, but they repaired everything I asked and they touched up a few other frayed areas as well. And got a brand new shoulder strap.
Have a custom hide bag and it's been awesome. If pressed for a complaint, is a little heavy for regular travel, but it's a leather bag so... Gets lots of compliments years later
Purposefully dulled my sensibilities with a few IPAs over the weekend and finally pulled the trigger on a Sonos Sub. Aside from the cost, v excited
I’ve had this on my wishlist for awhile, curious to hear your review. What’d you pay? I think the lowest I’ve seen is $600.
Had a 15% discount code that got me $105 off, so it was $618 after tax. You can sometimes find an open box at Best Buy for about $550 (excluding tax). Paying that much for a sub was a hard pill to swallow, but the reviews all say it's worth the money. We'll see.
It is 100% worth it. I originally bought the soundbase and 2 play 1's for my surround sound. The soundbase has a small sub in it but I wanted more. I bought the sub and it just makes the whole system come together better. It's incredibly powerful for its size, like mind blowing. I have it set to around 65% of its capability. Just the sub alone could shake the walls of a house.
Yeah, from what I've read adding the Sub allows the other speakers to focus on mids and highs, thereby increasing overall sound quality of the entire system. Who knows how it works, though. And pretty much every review I've read said the same couple of things -- 100% worth the money and people wishing they had gotten it sooner. Ready for the sumbitch to get here
Just bought a dodge ram promaster to turn into a custom tailgate vehicle for Clemson games. Will post pics when done.
