This was a very good series vs a shit Texas team. I’m only disappointed Boyd didn’t fight bitch boy Odor. I think it’s a 11 game series unless FSD was wrong but I say we end up 3-8 at best.
He was looking through posts from before the season and liked some of mine that look awful now. Dear lord was I wrong on some aspects of this team.
Can we somehow repeat the Rod/Mario debacle from last year with some beat writers and get rid of more idiots?
This would be amazing for everyone's college team internet beat group. I'd pay an insane sum to watch a Royal Rumble of the OSU beat buffoons.
David Chadd compared Demeritte to Tori Hunter on the radio today. Said they’ve liked him for a while. Even though they passed on him in the Rule 5 twice. You can’t make this shit up.
He's gotta be out the door as a Tigers beat guy and probably has a job out of Detroit, to feel comfortable putting another beat guy on blast. Or he's a drunk.
I know some people that went to high school with him. Said he was a complete dbag back then. Not sure if that changed or not.
Just watched the highlights of the game today. You’re not kidding lol. He might be worse than Nick in the outfield.
Good. I'm afraid he's going to kill someone at some point. Throwing 100 and having no clue where it's going is dangerous as hell.
Just looked it up and it's even wors than I thought. Faedo is the only player that can even be considered a marginal prospect. Don't think I've seen anyone else appear on their Top 30 prospect list. Avila is bad at his job. Spoiler 1 (18) -- Alex Faedo, RHP, Florida 2 (57) -- Reynaldo Rivera, OF, Chipola College 3 (95) -- Joey Morgan, C, Washington 4 (125) -- Gio Arriera, RHP, Palm Beach CC 5 (155) -- Sam McMillan, C, Suwannee HS (Live Oak, Fla.) 6 (185) -- Dane Myers, RHP, Rice 7 (215) -- Brad Bass, RHP, Notre Dame 8 (245) -- Max Green, LHP, Pepperdine 9 (275) -- Luke Burch, CF, Kent State 10 (305) -- Garrett McCain, CF, Oklahoma State 11 -- Garett King, RHP, California Baptist 12 -- Will Vest, RHP, Stephen F. Jeff Criswell (35th) round will likely be re-drafted in first couple of rounds next year. But other than that, they all suck ass.
Alright guys I will be posting updates throughout the rest of the season. We need to go 9-41 to have the worst record in franchise history. In our last 50 games we are 9-41. So it’s definitely possible. LFG
I'm really interested to read the prospect reports before next season about Skubal. The numbers are insane. He's got 56 Ks right now in 26 AA innings. That doesn't even seem possible. But he throws the FB so much that I wonder how good his breaking balls really are. There's got to be something special about his fastball that lets him dominate like this right now.
What does his FB top out at? He must have some secondary pitches if he’s getting all these strikeouts.
I think he's generally in the 93-95 range, and maybe touches a bit higher. Seems like he's got a slider and a curveball that are both useful, but he allegedly throws around 70% fastballs. There aren't a ton of starting pitchers having huge success doing that right now, and I'm curious if there's just something about his fastball that plays up to allow him to do that.
