Haven’t done online races but gone against the CPU. Bumped to 40% difficulty and I’m lucky to score points. Can’t imagine what 100% would be like. Actually I’ll likely be George Russell.
Something similar to this happened a few races back. It may have been in a FP session but the car was unsafe to get out of and they told the driver to shut the car off completely because they feared he or the course workers would be fried
I’ve completed 5 full race weekends. Week 1 - 20% difficulty - 5th place Week 2 - 40% - 17th Week 3 - 40% - 10th Week 4 - 40% - 12th Week 5 - 40% - 15th Team not very happy with me lol
I’m up to 55% but still use medium traction control and brake assist. Obviously the fastest players use no assists but I would be hitting more walls than Grosjean.
I wrecked LeClerc in a race and I was blown away. "The race stewards are looking into that collision. You're going to get a 5 second penalty". LOL. Game is so awesome. I'm going to dial back to 30% for a few until I get more consistent on racing.
Dialed it back to 30% and immediately was on podium in 3 straight races in an Alpha Romeo. I know that's not reality. Going to change back up a bit tonight.
It’s only one race worth of access for Mercedes and Ferrari, which is fine imo. There’s a lot more intrigue with the midfield teams. Wonder if they’ll decide to use their home races for the show.
Brutal qualifying for Ferrari. Seb didn't even get a lap and LeClerc had an issue and didnt complete Q3.
If this happened in Italy heads would’ve rolled. I can’t imagine major changes not occurring at Ferrari
This ^^ It was an entertaining race for sure. Nice to see one without the typical Merc 1/2 or 1/3 finish. Definitely impressed by Vettel. Helluva day to go from last in the grid to 2nd.
Best race in years for Vettel. To come from 20th to 2nd in a rain race is close to impossible. Even with all the accidents. I believe he would've reeled in Max if he had 4-5 more laps. We'll see if this gives Vettel a bit of a push to win a couple before the end of the season. I hope the retirement rumors aren't true.
Vettel is really good at fighting back to good finishes when he gets shuffled to the back. He's much better at it than Lewis. When things go wrong for Lewis he doesn't make is way back through the midfield as quickly. Vettel can usually get up to the top 10 pretty quickly. Now such scenarios are not necessarily fair comparisons because if either one is in the back it usually means the car is compromised.
That was one hell of a race. The announcers mentioned Seb losing power mid race. Was that ever confirmed? It did seem at the end maybe they found a fix or were willing to risk damage to the engine because Seb was gaining and like mentioned above another 4-5 laps he may have got to Max.
Ferrari has really been having problems with that. Didn't LeClerc have power issues at both Austria and Bahrain? I remember he asked for more power at Austria and they couldn't give him enough.
Bahrain cost him the race. Austria was another track they asked for power. Toss in the qualifying issues due to power and it seems like Ferrari has no idea on the fix
Merc just simply out strategized Red Bull. Was a pretty entertaining race overall I thought. The king stay the king though.
Yep. Should've immediately pitted and put on the softs. His last two laps were each a second quicker than Hamilton's fast lap. Would've made up the difference and possibly had a better chance to hold off. Would've 100% passed him though thus creating even more excitement in the race. I think Max is the most talented of the younger guys. Hopefully, McLaren continues to improve and Williams/Renault get better. If Ferrari can quit fucking up, then holy hell would F1 be entertaining the next few years.
I actually think it's pretty close between him and LeClerc. Max definitely better, but LeClerc could have 2 wins this year if not for powertrain issues at Ferrari.
Verstappen was screwed either way I think. Lewis' hard tires were several laps fresher at the time so if Max pits first it's no guarantee he chases him down. Lewis also had better pace all day. If he pits after Lewis he's behind and probably doesn't catch up. It's why Max wasn't that upset after the race. Scenarios like today are why Gasly sucking is important. If anyone was within the pit window behind Lewis this probably doesn't work. If Max's teammate was in the picture they could have used his strategy to combat Lewis.
Would like mclaren to get better as I think sainz and Norris are both pretty likeable They are fun on social media who is going to take gaslys spot next year And who is going to take bottas If I’m Mercedes I don’t know if I would replace bottas
If I'm Merc...why wouldn't I at least try for Max? I mean...why not throw your hat in the ring to see if you can have a team of the 2 best drivers while also having the best cars. With that being said, I'm sure Max is very happy with Red Bull. They have to be treating him like a king.
Did Ricciardo choose to leave Red Bull or was he forced to? Many races last year, I thought he was the better driver than Max. Ricciardo with a strong ride is very very good.
Just looked it up. 49MM per year is definitely silver lining for performance dropping off so much. WOW!
especially as he is getting older. if i'm max i would rather be in red bulls #1 car than in mercedes #2 car and having to deal with hamilton
and if he finishes #2 behind hamilton and ahead of bottas i have to think red bull will open up the checkbook. that brand is very into being good at sports if mercedes pushes out bottas for ocan if i'm red bull i probably just make an offer to bottas.
Heard that's partly why Nico went out on top. Hamilton is such a bitch to deal with that he just wanted to beat him and leave.
have legit only followed this for a month but i was dreading the last 10 laps yesterday hamilton is just very unlikable. i'm sure i would be an even bigger bozo if i couldn't leave my house anywhere in the world without people coming up to me though
Bottas is better than he's getting credit for. Would make for a very big fight for Constructor's next year if he went to Red Bull.
agreed. if i'm mercedes i don't make a change. if i'm red bull i might push out gasly over this break
There was a rumor that Nico approached the Mercedes brain trust that final season and told them he wanted a championship and in return he would retire. It’s why members of Hamilton’s team were switched over to Nico’s and he pulled away with the title. Hamilton on multiple occasions during that season and since has hinted at such
