I know it's Cowherd, but....The whole chugging a beer thing on camera didn't start in Cleveland. WTF? Peyton Hillis was on the cover of Madden. Cleveland didn't just create that out of nothing. He did the old: if you take away his 2 best games, he has really average numbers thing. That's always a good.
Aren’t there stories of Brady's legendary chugging? He’s done alright for his franchise, I don’t know that it’ll make a difference... Cowherd has the biggest hard-on for Baker
I mean hell, one of the Packers’ OL was chugging beers on the video board at a Bucks playoff game & even challenged Rodgers and Yelich to a chug contest at that same game...didn’t hear a peep out of the national media about that.
he's hoping it can become his Skip v. Lebron job security route. Gimme Baker with Lebron's success, and I'll be just fine with that clown trying to ride his coattails.
I was annoyed with the flag thing big time. Once I realized that Baker manufactures reasons to drive himself, I understood. Like Carmen Ohio has been sung after every game, win or loss, since year one of Tressel. That didn’t matter. Baker used that as an insult and it fueled him. He beat the shit out of OSU in Ohio stadium. I hope he is never comfortable, no matter how high he ascends. Invent the hate, Bake. It works.
I think this was Baker taking a shot at the Giants for his boy Odell. Nearly everyone thought it was a stupid pick, he's just saying it.
Unproven QB who experts said was drafted too high insults other unproven QB who experts said was drafted too high. It’s a bad look.
Literally everyone but Gettleman thought drafting Daniel Jones was a reach. I find it refreshing for athletes to say what they are thinking rather than provide canned answers in an effort to be polite.
You ask Baker a question you're going to get an honest answer. Draft night pundits: The Daniel Jones pick blows my mind. Everyone: Us too. Baker: The Daniel Jones pick blows my mind. Everyone: That's a bad look. What a bunch of hypocrites. He's never going to give a non-answer and I hope people realize the Tom Brady days of "saying the right thing" is lame and disingenuous.
True. But if someone said something negative about Baker, he’d subtweet them or bring it up in a presser and say it was bush league
The only motivation the New York Football Giants organization ever needs is putting another trophy in the case
I really, really want Dan the Man, Dan the Dazzler, Dan the rocket arm, the great bambino to be successful.
Matt Stafford easily won a chugging contest in Cabo when I was down there, but I can't imagine that comes as a surprise to anyone.
I totally agree. I think Baker and Odell have been hanging out a lot outside of camp, and this was probably a topic for them. Baker probably had it on his mind or talked to Odell about how he would be working with him if he were still a Giant. I think he was saying this as a way to take a shot at the Giants for Odell.
Asked or not whose mind wasn't blown by the Daniel Jones pick? The article even tries to spark shit by throwing in (he was a measley 17-19 in college) before his quote.
What's your deal here? You're gonna be mad that someone lets their fandom influence their feelings towards players? You of all people?
I'm not mad. Just pointing out it wasn't some revelation as to why Baker did it, it was just that his team drafted him.
Soooooo anyhoooo, I’m glad we have Baker’s spiteful, petty ass leading the helm. It’s not cookie cutter and people won’t like it, but after 20 years of breathtaking incompetence, I’m all in. What’s the worst that could happen, the Browns fall apart and look shitty? Oh no. I couldn’t bear to see something like that. Our good name means so much.
