Came here trying to figure out how to avoid going back to Sling and keep Youtube TV while getting NFL Redzone. Thanks for the info.
Weekly mlb and nhl games. Soccer Also all those random mid major basketball and football games that use to be on Espn3
ESPN+ has some original content (LAFC, Peyton's Place, 30 For 30 and tons more) which I believe is generally just on demand. Weirdly enough, they also sell PPV's now that they partnered with the UFC. Much more important and substantial is their their live sports coverage: The service focuses primarily on overflow content similar to that of ESPN's existing digital service ESPN3 (which is distributed to subscribers of participating internet and television subscribers), though some of ESPN3's content has been shifted exclusively to ESPN+, such as most Canadian Football League coverage.[16][17] Its launch content includes boxing (including Top Rank events and archive content through 2025),[18] college sports events (including Ivy League events, with the conference having reached a 10-year media rights deal with ESPN prior to the service's launch),[19] coverage of Tennis Grand Slams, as well as international cricket (Cricket Ireland and New Zealand Cricket), soccer (including Major League Soccer, the United Soccer League, the U.S. Open Cup,[20] 2019 Copa America,[21] the English Football League, Serie A,[22] Eredivisie and UEFA Nations League)[23] and rugby union events (including SANZAAR tournaments, Bledisloe Cup, Currie Cup, Major League Rugby, Mitre 10 Cup, Pro14, and the World Rugby Sevens Series).[17] In October 2018, ESPN+ obtained the rights for the Swedish Allsvenskan and the Danish Superliga as well, declaring their intent to broadcast one match per week for each league.[24] ESPN+ features out of market Major League Soccer matches at no additional charge for subscribers (replacing the previous MLS Live service),[25][26] and the service holds exclusive rights to all regionally televised Chicago Fire matches through 2020 (as the second MLS team, behind Los Angeles FC's deal with YouTube TV, to sell its regional rights to a streaming service).[27][28] MLB.tv and NHL.tv (which are operated by BAMTech) are also available for purchase within the ESPN+ platform, and offer daily games during their regular seasons for ESPN+ subscribers.[4] ESPN+ will offer supplemental feeds during the PGA Championship beginning 2020, including during CBS broadcast windows.[30] It also carries ESPN original programming and documentaries, such as the 30 for 30 franchise (one entry, The Last Days of Knight, premiered on ESPN+ several weeks before its linear ESPN premiere), and exclusive original series. ESPN+ does not include access to the full ESPN linear channels, as they will only be available through "traditional or non-traditional" television providers. Thus, ESPN's major professional sports rights, including National Football League, National Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball coverage, are not included in the service.[11][4] In May 2018, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced new five-year digital and linear television rights deals with ESPN, effective January 2019. 20 live UFC on ESPN+ Fight Night events per-year will be streamed exclusively by the service, as well as preliminaries for 10 live UFC on ESPN Fight Night events per-year. ESPN+ will also hold rights to supplemental content such as Dana White's Contender Series, archive content and PPV encores, and offer sales of UFC Fight Pass within the platform.[31][32][33][34] The first ESPN+ event, UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Dillashaw, generated 525,000 new subscribers on the day of the event alone.[35] On March 18, 2019, it was announced that ESPN had reached a two-year extension of its contract with the UFC. Beginning at UFC 236, it is also the exclusive carrier of all UFC pay-per-view events for residential customers. Viewers must have an active ESPN+ subscription in order to purchase future UFC pay-per-views, and they are no longer sold through television providers.[36] Also that month, the American Athletic Conference announced a 12-year deal with ESPN, under which ESPN+ will carry the majority of events not aired by ESPN's linear channels.[37][38][39] In May 2019, it was announced that ESPN+ would carry 18 World TeamTennis matches. [40] Edit: Full list of original content from wiki. Detail - A basketball analysis show hosted and produced by Kobe Bryant.[41] In October 2018, ESPN announced that Peyton Manning would host an NFL version of the program.[42] ESPN FC - A soccer analysis show that moved from airing on the networks to exclusively being on ESPN+.[23] In The Crease - a daily NHL highlight and discussion show hosted by Linda Cohn and Barry Melrose.[43] Quest for the Stanley Cup - A documentary series following the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs (moving from Showtime).[43] Last Train to Russia - A documentary series previewing the 2018 FIFA World Cup.[44][45][46] Year One - A documentary series following the 2017-2018 NBA Rookie Class, featuring Jayson Tatum, Ben Simmons, and Donovan Mitchell. MLS Rewind - A weekly recap of Major League Soccer action, hosted by Taylor Twellman and featuring analysis from Alejandro Moreno. I'll Take That Bet - A series focusing on sports betting, in conjunction with The Action Network.[47] Ariel and the Bad Guy - A weekly mixed martial arts discussion show hosted by Ariel Helwani and Chael Sonnen. The Fantasy Show - A fantasy football analysis show hosted by Matthew Berry. Originally aired on ESPN2 in its first season. Always Late with Katie Nolan - A late night talk show-inspired series hosted by Katie Nolan, serving as a successor to her previous Fox Sports 1 program Garbage Time.[48] Peyton's Places - A documentary series hosted by legendary quarterback Peyton Manning.[49] Here is a link to this weeks live sports coverage: http://www.espn.com/watch/schedule?type=upcoming
like Truman said they have a ton of stuff, its mostly live content. Incredible deal for $4.99. Get all their original programming, then they have some live Soccer (MLS out of market, EFL Championship, Serie A, UEFA Nations League, CONMEBOL), UFC, Boxing, Rugby, NHL (with original programming attached to it), some MLB, Tennis events, and then a boatload of College Football and Basketball (Live if your school isnt on TV and then archives of all kinds of game replays). I took a flier on it when it first came out, and use it more often than I expected.
Think I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and get a subscription for football season. Will need to check that website out again to see which package is best for me. BTN is a must.
Upon further review, nope I still won't watch any of that. Seems the gist of it is that ESPN is relegating all the niche stuff to streaming as, at least with the college stuff, they still have the right to air it on a linear network if they want to.
If this bundle includes ad-free Hulu instead of ad-supported Hulu, it's a damn no brainer to get the bundle as ad-free Hulu alone is $12 a month. ESPN+ has no interest to me but Disney has a little bit of interest. I'd only watch it once in a blue moon because most of their catalog doesn't appeal to me but I'd basically be paying $1 a month for it until Disney decides to jack up the price.
I typed in my name and it said "it could not locate my student records." Why the hell does Direct TV have access to that.
There is no way to buy ESPN and associated channels directly in a streaming format correct? Considering finally cutting tv but am nervous about missing college football games, plus not yet ready to spend $50 on YTTV.
For me, it's worth $5/month. Poured through the above text to see what I was getting College Football with the following affiliations ACC, American, Big 12, Big Ten, BYU, C-USA, Liberty, MAC, Mountain West, Pac-12, SEC, Sun Belt and most bowl games Ivy League (FCS, ESPN+ exclusive), MEAC (FCS), NEC (FCS), OVC (FCS), SoCon (FCS), Southland (FCS),Turkey Day Classic (FCS/D-II), Lamar (FCS) and Stephen F. Austin (FCS), D-I FCS Tournament, Gulf South (D-II), D-II Championship Game, D-III Championship Game, KCAC (NAIA), NAIA Championship. College Baseball and Basketball European Soccer FA Cup FA Community Shield (one game) EPL Cup Serie A Dutch League Scottish, Swedish, Danish, Australian, Chinese, Indian and more International Soccer UEFA Nations League Copa America North American Soccer US Open Cup Collegiate Soccer (M&W) USL Championship USL League One Overflow PGA Coverage UFC Stuff that I do not watch Canadian Football League Hockey Cricket Major League Lacrosse Car Racing eSports Rugby
Add Tennis to that list. I realize it's not for everyone but they do a damn good job of covering tournaments if you are into it. This is where I am at. Split on killing cable, literally the only time it's on is when I turn it on for sports. No one else in the house watches it they all go right to Amazon or Netflix. I really need a resolution for smoothstreams just so I am covered for the one off shit.
Ditto on Tennis. I want to be able to watch the Legends Wheelchair Doubles early rounds at Wimbledon.
https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-schedule-2019-week-times-espn-fox-cbs-nbc-abc/ Here is the national college football TV schedule, which includes ESPN+ The only ESPN+ exclusive games that feature a team from a P5 conference are listed below. The schedule also indicates zero bowl games exclusive to ESPN+ Syracuse vs. Liberty Stephen F. Austin vs. Baylor Coastal Carolina vs. Kansas McNeese State vs. Oklahoma State.
Thanks for drilling down and coming up with actual list. Just found the broadcast home to Nigerian 3rd Division Soccer https://mycujoo.tv/video/nigerian-nationwide-league-one?id=72306
Sports Media Watch doesn't have a TV schedule yet for college basketball but when they do I assume it will be here. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-basketball-tv-schedule-mens/
Not really. I use it at my apt, and at my parents house when I'm down there. Just as long as you, or someone, logs in from the main account location every few months or so, you'll be fine.
I guess we might be talking about slightly different scenarios. In a true split (people share one login) your method might work that scenario not work for me because we use the Family sharing. I have the sub, and I have added my brother's gmail address as a family member. He cannot use it because he does not live in the same market as I do, or at least does not return to the market I do often enough.
the ytv login will work on the espn/fox sports/etc apps for streaming purposes so you don't even technically have to log-in to ytv if you split
When I signed up a year ago, I tried using an old .edu email I still have access to (that I use for a discounted WSJ subscription) and was denied. I then used my sister's info and was allowed to sign up (she's in college). I don't think they have access to transcripts, but it does seem like they have access to enrollment lists. It's pretty odd.
Yea, you have to be an active student for the Sunday Ticket deal unless there’s some workaround I’m not familiar with.
Is there still no way to buy nfl redzone by itself? I love YouTube tv and don’t want to give it up. Was thinking of adding sling for football season but at that cost I may as well say fuck it and just get Sunday ticket this year.
I split with a poster on here. I am the main account holder but he has his own account and login. He also lives in a different city than me. I just have to login to his account for him every couple of weeks and it works fine.
I just did it and I had to upload transcript showing I was currently enrolled or a class enrollment form.
correct. my buddy's wife is in med school so she uses that and i just venmo him the money every month for the log-in they also don't allow simultaneous log-ins which is crazy. not being able to put a game on and redzone on a tablet is bullshit
Well shit, this was going to be my source for Redzone now that Mystreams was down. Is the only other option at this point Sling?
I'm still holding out hope that YTTV gets NFLN and Redzone negotiated before the start of the season.
