No problem. Here is a Doc/show coming out: No One Saw a Thing’ Trailer: SundanceTV True Crime Series With ‘The Jinx’ Vibes
I watched this doc during Hurricane Barry. Talk about a bizarre roller coaster ride. In this day and age, I find it interesting that his parents were not tracking his vehicle and monitoring his text messages. Especially after this was his fourth or fifth attempt at suicide.
Two teens who were considered missing are now suspects and have been spotted in N. Saskatchewan. ******************************************************* Update - https://bc.ctvnews.ca/missing-teens-now-suspects-in-3-deaths-on-northern-b-c-highways-1.4520165 Two B.C. teenagers are no longer being considered missing persons, Mounties say. They're now considered suspects in the death of a man whose body was found near their burning truck. They're also suspects in a double homicide that occurred on another B.C. highway a few hundred kilometres away. Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky, of Port Alberni, have now left the province, the RCMP said at a news conference Tuesday. Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky are now considered suspects in three deaths in northern B.C. Police believe the 19- and 18-year-olds were spotted in northern Saskatchewan, Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said. They were seen driving a grey 2011 Toyota Rav-4.
Yep, which spawned Rachel's law. I ended up involved in a case last year (posted about it in police thread) and got the chance to speak with her mom - nice lady. A decade later, Rachel Hoffman's tragic death helps to make police informants safer Rachel Hoffman (Photo: Submitted) By about 6:40 p.m. Rachel was cruising north on Meridian Road in the silver 2005 Volvo sedan her father back home in Safety Harbor had bought for her. Her destination was Forestmeadows Park, where she was to meet two men in the parking lot to buy cocaine, Ecstasy and a gun. It was the biggest buy-bust in department memory. Eighteen law enforcement officers were assigned to the operation. Pender was in charge and would have his eyes on her the whole time. When the deal went down the good guys would swoop in and the bad guys would be arrested. Rachel would be home in time to make dinner for her friends, go to a movie or shoot some pool at Pockets on the Parkway. But Rachel didn’t make the turn into the planned parking lot. The men with the drugs changed the location and she followed them. Pender said she didn’t listen to him when he said not to go. He lost her. Minutes later, Rachel Hoffman was shot on dead-end Gardner Road. After a 36-hour search, her body was found dumped in a culvert off a dirt road in Taylor County. “It feels painful and it feels hurtful and I still put this on Ryan Pender,” said Rachel’s dad, Irv Hoffman. “God will even the score with him. He has no business being a police officer.” On Friday morning Irv Hoffman called Pender’s work phone like he does every year and left a message reminding him of the anniversary Monday. He blames Pender — the only officer who was fired, but eventually regained his job and now patrols CollegeTown — for failures that resulted in his only daughter being murdered.
ha. I was talking about the new hbo one last night with someone and they showed me that link. What’s creepy is hell is that the paradise lost doc has a bunch of footage of Hobbs throughout it. Also here is a Pod that was mentioned in the comments section, go to season 5: https://art19.com/shows/truth-and-j...seasonId=d4f81bde-a9c1-4475-8707-a9206a2fb35c

for those with cable, Oxygen has a few new shows that look good… Murder for Hire Suicide or Murder? uncovered the mcmartin family trial
Just looked into Marc Dutroux, curious as to whether any of his "connected to big child sex ring" claims are true.
Is it? I tried listening to the first episode of this podcast and it was terrible. The narrator is bad at pronouncing some words and the writing is very mediocre.
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned or not but I just finished the book American Predator by Maureen Callahan. It’s about a serial killer they caught in Alaska. Highly recommend.
Podcast: Missing Alissa. https://www.missingalissa.com/ I haven't got around to editing the page 1 stuff, but here are some add on's for podcast (i've probably posted 30 or so ITT): My Favorite Murder Small Town Murders True Crime All The Time/Unsolved(both of theirs) The Murder Squad

A Fraternity Member Who Had "A Fascination With Death" Allegedly Encouraged Five People To Kill Themselves A lawsuit alleges that a former Truman State University student provided “step-by-step” directions to five people who killed themselves within a year in Kirksville, Missouri. The parents of two of the dead men — Alex Mullins, 21, and Joshua Thomas, 18 — are suing Brandon Grossheim for providing “step-by-step” directions for how to carry out the suicides. The 22-year-old was also one of the last people to see each of them alive and was found near their bodies after their deaths, the parents claim. The lawsuit, based on police investigation reports, says that Grossheim told people he saw himself as a “superhero” who gravitated toward “these depressed people" and counseled them. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/tasneemnashrulla/fraternity-member-five-suicides-lawsuit
Hard to say, but it does seem there was gross mishandling if his case. The Belgian public seemed to believe that there was something bigger going on.
New episode got put up, just finished on drive home. The time of death is all I was ever worried about. Always assumed I missed it in a previous episode.
Posted in the podcast thread - lividity and rigor have to be indisputable facts. Really sucks how the grand jury and bilbo stuff went down. Time of death estimated at 12-2PM per latest ep. Dylan made sure to say that he was seen and talked to people at CFA and Best Buy in that time frame. He was setting up an alibi for that time. Fishy.
I also want to know how much chick fil a was purchased. I feel like these idiots may have bought for 2 then tried to say they all 3 ate when he was actually dead.
even more important. Podcast recommendation? I have a lot of free time in my new job. I've done serial (season 1), up and vanished (season 1). I thought about atlanta monster, but I'm going to see mindhunter anyway. which one do you recommend?
Casefile #53 Golden State Killer is great. I've probably listened to it 5-6 times. 5 episodes plus some bonus interviews. All of the Casefiles that I've listened to have been good. https://casefilepodcast.com/case-53-east-area-rapist-1976-part-1/ I think 941Gator said he likes Crime Junkie https://crimejunkiepodcast.com/blog/ Culpable was mentioned in the Podcasts thread.
