bayern didnt want to pony up so i guess the official spin is that it was pep's fault. they totally were gonna pay
It was in Bild and whatever that French outlet is. L’equippe or some shit. Same report said that Sane was taking the #10 jersey.
Looks like the deal is off anyway, so we’ll never know. Give me Werner, Roca and Ziyech this window or it's arguably the worst transfer window ever.
Haven’t you learned this summer how terrible Bayern’s sources are? I thought the Hudson-odoi saga was a learning experience. Bayern as a club seem to have a lot of entitlement issues that stem from them walking all over all the bundesliga clubs. I don’t doubt that Bayern folks are hearing this from Bayern sources. I doubt that validity of what sources inside the club are saying because they’ve been wrong so often. Hudson-Odoi was confirmed. 300 million war chest confirmed. This year is different want confirmed. It’s time to realize the club seems to be full of shit right now.
United couldn't get it done, not sure why you even bothered. Fucking hell, I hope I don't have to eat these words.
This is going to go down to the wire. Tier 1 sources were reporting Juve were going to help cover wages, then came back and said Juve decided not to sell (wtf?). Deal still seems to be possible, but confidence has been lost in the past 60 minutes or so. I still trust our bald bastard to get this done, though
Zaha refusing to train. What a trainwreck . Hard to feel bad for him when he just signed that contract.
Whats going to be interesting is what happens after today. Spurs look great, but what if they lose Eriksen and Toby over the next 3 weeks? Where are United if Lukaku and Pogba force their way out? Unless its an ACL, could City still lose Sane?
What I've learned over the years (and my brief time playing football manager) is that transfer deals are insanely complex. Its not like FIFA where you bid 30 mil and they say 45 and you agree and the player comes to your team. Therefore when your team gets linked very late in the window with a player, its probably bullshit.
I’d be shocked if we sold Toby, but think we’ll try to deal Eriksen if we don’t feel confident he’ll resign. Assuming this, I still think we’re in a better position to start the season than we were last year, but still not on a level to compete with City and Pool for the league.
And if you get linked before the end of the window it's quite possibly bullshit too. Took me a few years to realize, but the European news outlets will publish any rumor no matter how little truth to it there is. It's a crazy time of year
Why would they lose Toby? His transfer was 12 million pounds like 4 years ago, that's amortized away. Making UCL will most likely be more valuable than any offer that comes in. Now, Eriksen should be flogged to anyone in europe
Weren't they negotiating with Roma over his transfer? Isn't he on the last year of his deal? I agree with your second sentence but if he agitates for a move somewhere, would Spurs keep him against his will?
He’s going to sign for Juve or PSG on a free next year with a massive signing bonus. I think he’s happy to play it out at Spurs.
I didn't know if Spurs were looking to cash in on him before he walked. Losing him and Eriksen for free in the same year would be tough.
