I watched several Liverpool games in Spanish last year but can't remember if that was because they weren't on TNT or if it was because the TNT app sucked.
if the game wasnt on tnt you could either purchase it through the b/r app or stream it with a cable log-in through univision used the univision app more often than not because the b/r one a) charged you and b) was horrendous
Yeah anytime I could watch and not just listen, I was using Univision. If I could just listen then I was just doing it on the City web site
Univision liked to play 3 games in each time slot across their channels while TNT just played 1. Fuck Turner
Fox was showing CL on FS1, FS2 and the local Fox sports regional channel. I was getting three different games per match day, plus the rest which they put on ESPN3. I don’t give a shit about the studio show.
Steve Nash is a Spurs fan and even I was blown away by how dumb it was to have him on the set. Surely there are actual footballers out there with more insight to offer than him.
This was not always the case. Most times there was nothing on Fox regional for me. The video quality was never up to par with what NBC has been doing on EPL coverage. They weren’t even putting every knockout game on tv. How can something be great and not show every UCL knockout match? Don’t even fucking get me started on showing matches on fucking Facebook instead of tv
Also the only time I watch any studio shows is to see the amazing Kate Abdo so gtfo about not caring about studio shows. I haven’t watched non Kate pre/post/half shows in years
They don't even let the players they do have break anything down. Post game they just show the goals and say "oh that was nice", then throw up a bunch of BR memes on the screen
How many more years is the tnt deal? I hope espn bids on champions league. Since they lost the World Cup they don’t have much high level soccer.
ESPN has Serie A, FA Cup, Championship, MLS and next year is getting Bundesliga They just put it all on ESPN+
Hoping beIN loses those rights next round. Fox or ESPN+ work for me. Just switched cable companies and they don’t carry beIN. Though I’m more upset about losing Univision Deportes for UCL.
Tebas wants La Liga on Fox or ESPN supposedly. I think only Ligue 1 will end up on Bein for the long term.
Didn’t know they were getting bundesliga. That’s nice but fox did a decent job with them. I guess I now hope fox gets champions league or la liga now. Series A, FA cup and championship don’t do much for me. Not exactly high level soccer except a few matches. It’s definitely nicer then nothing but the worlds best club competition deserves better then tnt.
Fox regularly puts the best Bundesliga match on FS2 to air NASCAR practice. I don’t wish anything good going to them for the most part. ESPN+ would be a much better option IMO. Also Serie A may not do anything for you but you can’t say ESPN+ doesn’t have high level soccer then try to shoot down them having a top 4 league in the world.
espn+ has really good production and coverage but it really sucks that its only streaming as far as finding places to watch
Cluj tie it against Celtic again and lead on away goals. This happened 10 mins ago too and Celtic immediately answered. 10 mins left this time.
ESPN+ has been good for me so far for anything I’ve watched on it. I can’t believe that I get championship games easier than I get champions league games. Another horrific job by UEFA.
I have the CelticTV feed and so far the commentators have verbally attacked Cluj “number 37” for unsportsmanlike conduct and “number 20” for cramping despite being a substitute.
I wouldnt blame UEFA as much as I would blame Turner / BR Sports. They are no different than what ESPN2 used to do to us as viewers in the late 90s and early 00s.
UEFA picked someone to give their broadcasting rights to who had never broadcasted the sport. I’m sure UEFA asked how many games would be on tv. I doubt this b/r live was a surprise to them. They likely chose the highest bid instead of the bid that would be shown more on tv, help grow the sport and in turn get the growth for tv deals down the line. Shortsighted and anti-fan.
Completely agree. They opened the bids and saw the dollar amounts and put no thought into the actual coverage or the fact that Stu Holden and Steve Nash would wear Capri pants.
