2 weeks away from cutting the cable Getting nervous with football season around the corner, just so used to have dish for so long It’s easy to watch CFB with Hulu? I’ve read everyone raving about YTTV
One of my friends has Hulu. He seems to like it as much as I like YTTV. Seems ok when I’m at his place watching.
Unless they've cleaned it up a lot in the 1.5 years or so since I tried it, Hulu live was ass. YouTubetv was pretty ok. I've been trying an IPTV service the last few weeks and a lot of channels for $10. Watched some ufc fight and a 24/7 Doug channel. Honk honk!
Girlfriend has Hulu Live TV & hates it because the DVR is a pain in the ass to use/navigate - I had Vue & now have YTTV - if you’re wanting sports, either of those is your best bet
I tried Hulu tv for a week last football season. It was useable but YTTV is better. Hulu is certainly better than the shit called Sling
Out of curiosity, do you think it's unlikely a lot has changed in a year and a half? It's barely been two years since Hulu Live first launched in beta.
Here's a reminder of some sports channels YouTube TV is currently lacking: NFL Network NFL RedZone Pac-12 Network SEC Network+ Stadium ESPN Goal Line NHL Network MLB Strikezone beIN Sports It's a fantastic overall service, no question. But I would just would hate for someone to get duped into thinking its sports coverage is much more comprehensive than it actually is due to the sports-based recommendations it gets in here.
honestly the NFL ones and maybe the Pac 12 Network are the only relevant ones tbqh it has both NBCs which is essentially what the NHL is now
Yep - and probably 90% of the PAC 12’s better games wind up on an ESPN or Fox channel anyway, so anyone that’s not a fan of a PAC 12 team doesn’t really need it to watch most of the good games.
I used to use Vue because they had BEIN. Once they dropped it, I switched to Fubo. FC Barcelona takes precedence over everything for me, but I haven’t experienced any issues with doing Fubo and using my old man’s espn dish login, while also just having standard TV
I know you’re covered but just saying they have Bein again! Not sure when they got it back but been watching the fuck out of the best of last year stuff on it.
So wait, did somebody say you can't watch YTTV on two different TV's at the same time? That could pose some problems, for me.
I looked last night. They have apk for fire and you can run m3u. I’m going to try to run this through my PC via plex so I have it on all TVs this time.
Now the other issue is that my 2nd TV runs off a Firestick. Main TV is also a Firecube, but at least it has Roku built in.
Keep me posted....I would run mine through a Firestick, but haven’t found a link detailing download and sign up yet (havent looked real hard though).
Vue has more of the channels I want compared to the rest. https://www.suppose.tv/tv?m=8&f=1l8...4!536!542!1144!151l250l50l1l1lll1&r=ByFrq9tXB
Nobody is denying that. I think some people just like the YTTV interface better and are willing to sacrifice some channels for that.
and NFLN isn't really a must, with the Thursday games being on local TV and Prime. Just wish they'd hurry up and get YTTV to Fire products.
Have they not done that yet? I know they made an announcement that they were going to and I know the standard YouTube app supposedly was made available maybe a month ago. I just figured they also provided YTTV at that time too?
ButchCassidy I wonder if there is a workaround - like accessing via the channels mobile app or web player to bypass the YTTV streaming limit.
I know I use the browser to access the youtube site, idk if it would work with YTTV. Also don't know if it has been added yet, as I haven't searched for it or used my stick in awhile. I'm sure there's an .apk floating around that can be downloaded.
How to Use YouTube TV on FireStick YouTube TV is the Live TV segment of YouTube. It is yet not available with the official YouTube app for FireStick yet. It should be there somewhere in late 2019. Thankfully, there is still a way to access YouTube TV via a FireStick browser. You could use the Silk Browser. This browser comes preinstalled with FireStick. In case you uninstalled it, here is how you download the browser and tune in to YouTube TV: 1. From the FireStick home-screen select Search (lens icon) on the top-left corner 2. Type in ‘Silk Browser’ (without quotes) 3. Click ‘Silk Browser’ in the search results 4. Click ‘Silk Browser’ icon on the next window 5. Click ‘Download’ button to download and install the app 6. Open the Silk Browser and access https://tv.youtube.com/
NFL Network was the fifth-most watched sports channel last year and it and RedZone are regularly discussed in this thread. Pac-12 Network aired 34 games last season. (ESPN channels, ABC, FOX, FS1 combined aired 44 Pac-12 games) NFL Network and Stadium are also broadcasting some C-USA games this year. Soccer is about to start (beIN carries La Liga and League 1) and in a couple months so will the NHL (NHL Network airs 70+ games a season). As I said, YTTV is a great product. But it (and really every streaming service) has too many gaps in its sports programming for people to be listing it as the default go-to for sports. If people want to actually be helpful in this thread they should find out what sports/leagues someone watches and give a recommendation off that information.
In your opinion of course. For what I care about...it is the default go-to. As much as it pains some people...most Americans don't give a shit about C-USA, soccer, or hockey. NFLN is an unfortunate omission at this point but that is always discussed and people are aware of that. Even so, it's not like NFLN airs many games live. If watching the actual games live is primarily what you're concerned about then YTTV and most other streaming services do just fine.
Thanks for pointing that out. Wouldn't want someone to make an ill-informed decision. Suppose.tv or we it is should be the final test for anyone making a decision. I wish that YTTV had more extensive add-ons I would gladly play +$5 or +$10 or more for bundles etc for Longhorn Network, beIN, Pac12, etc
This has been posted like 18 times. This is all anyone needs. You can fill in the gaps from there. https://www.suppose.tv/
Yeah, who else's opinion would I be posting? And my opinion is backed up with actual numbers and facts, not just "hurr durr no one likes those sports anyway." I don't know why saying people in here should give more than a token effort in recommending a streaming service for sports is such a disagreeable stance to you, but it's a real shame for this thread.
Couldn't agree more about how useful this site is. Hopefully they update it soon to include ACC Network for YTTV so that people can make the most informed decision about what service is right for them.
I found them on fb and used it to join the discord channel. Messaged the admin there and signed up. Instructions to get set up were pretty straightforward. I've heard a lot of bad things about IPTV providers in general, so this one has been a pleasant surprise for me. I'll keep renewing for sure if it keeps up through football season. It's 10/month for one login, but can add more for not much more. Another dollar a month gets you a back up service that had an extensive DVR selection from what I understand.
I mainly watch college football. LSU in particular. And saints games are the only nfl I care to watch. And I currently have an hd antenna that picks up all local channels perfectly. What do you recommend for getting the espn channels and sec network?
talking about YouTube TV. everytime i've tried it through silkbrowser, it won't let you select any HD option.
I had issues using the Duo app on my firetv, but works great on my phone. XC has been good for the firetv. Just make sure to reset around PPV time for PPV listings.
