saying hiroshima and nagasaki were essentially hoaxes should get you fired. idk if for insensitivity or just pure stupidity but get him out of there
As someone who is a boss this union stuff is fascinating Lots of employees think they’re way more valuable than they are Dave is one of the only ones who has articulated this. Barstool has ~350 employees and all but 10-15 are replaceable At the ringer it’s even less
Has it ever been confirmed or not whether he has equity in barstool? I’m assuming he doesn’t But if he does that would be v stupid
Banner Society is everyone from EDSBS, Godfrey, Bud Elliott, Holly Anderson, and several other people who cover CFB. It's a pretty awesome idea.
as a lawyer i can confidently say i know absolutely nothing whatsoever about the NLRA and anyone who does injury litigation who claims they do are more than likely full of shit.
The employees are so loyal to Dave that I bet they wouldn't even vote to organize anyway and he knows it
Dave is going to end up in some trouble for those tweets for sure but his reasoning is 100% accurate. Simmons is somewhere having a massively shitty day with all his investors/bosses. I’m not sure how big the Ringer is but it’s going to be pretty funny when their self important writers tank one of the few places in the media space where they have freedom to do whatever they want, relative job security, and an audience size that allows them to monetize their incredibly specific skill set.
Dave is protected by parody law. Employees would have to show damages. And the only damage being done today is a huge spike in traffic and end of year bonuses.
At the end of the day people don’t understand the Pres character. He isn’t an asshole. He is playing a character. His content people see bigger pay raises then any other media company.
Dave wont get in trouble. I bet the ringer people get a 401k set up with no matching and get rights to their podcasts and articles, which they apparently don't have now. If they really want more than that then my bet is the company folds and Simmons starts a podcast network.
