so how does this work? Diaz is smoking weed on a stage 2 days before a fight? I mean I know he likes weed, but what are we doing here? How does that fly?
I was thinking it might be legal wherever he was doing it, but still, it's illegal as a competitor in the UFC. when he gets tested after the fight, it's going to be positive for weed, right?? then what? suspensions and fines and whatever? Personally I hope not, I hope he takes some masking agent and he comes back clean, and they just shrug their shoulders and move on. Weed is not a performance enhancing drug, I don't think, and should be treated like alcohol. But given what the rules are, I just don't understand doing this. Worse yet, if it jeopardizes his fight on Saturday.
Interesting, and I like it. That did remind me of Dana talking about how much Nick had in his system, and being like - he had to be fucking smoking pot in the dressing room before the fight!
The other day on TFATK Shaub was saying he thought the UFC had lost some of it's luster lately, like there are no fights or fighters he'd drop everything to see. This weekend's card is pretty fucking good. DC Stipe, Diaz finally fighting, and it's a really good fight with Pettis, plus Yoel? if you are a MMA fan, is this a drop everything and watch type card??
Yea I think he’s saying this is one of those but mostly nowadays the cards are terrible. There are like 2-3 cards a year that are must watch.
How long does it take Pettis to destroy Nate's lead leg? Pettis is a kicker and Nate will basically hand that leg over.
You have to think that if WE know that, Nate has to know it too, right??? and has to be prepared for it.
Was it Benson Henderson or RDA fight that destroyed his leg? Then Conor used the same strategy in the second fight. So I don't think he gives a shit. He hasn't changed his stance at all. Pettis is an elite kicker, he starts chopping that leg too much and he will kick Nate's head off eventually.
And that's the big issue I have with it, I would easily buy this card but I'm not going to subscribe to something else I'm barely going to use.
