i will obviously be thrilled if it happens but it will be just a tiny bit bittersweet that vinny wont be there to celebrate :(
Squad depth on this team is insane. Leroy Sane, Benjamin Mendy and Fernandinho out and Cancelo, Aguero, Bernardo Silva all not fit enough to play 90 minutes and on the bench and this team still beats what will probably be a top half of the table team 5-0 on the road.
When asked who he thinks could win the title this season, Mourinho said: "Four teams. Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City's B team. When I looked at City's bench and saw the players that weren't involved in the XI, I believe even their B team can win the title."
i am glad we accepted responsibility and were held appropriately accountable by fifa a sign of class and integrity. some other clubs could learn a thing or two from us
Wife and I debating going to England for a week around Thanksgiving, probably leave the weekend before and come back the friday after thanksgiving. City play Chelsea the week we are looking at. Where is the best place to look for tickets for that game if we go? Stubhub?
Join your local City group and then have the president put in for tickets for you. You’ll get them for face and you’ll likely get amazing seats. Membership dues are cheap (like $25 a year). If there’s not a local official group, there should be one not too far. I was a member of Pittsburgh before Columbus got an official group.
Also keep in mind the schedules for other competitions. UCL should have a Matchday that week Edit: Matchday 5 of group stage is 11/26-27 so chance they’ll have a home UCL match too
Yea I should wait until the group stage draw. November 26/27 is a match day for the Champions League. Maybe I can get 2 games in the week I am there, although not sure the wife would go for that
You could always attend the CL match, then go out and get hammered and sleep past halftime of the league match you had bought tickets to like I did when in London. Highly recommend.
I just found out that the metro detroit man city group meets on gamedays 1 mile from my house. I am probably going to check out the game Saturday there
Columbus City group goes to the same bar as 614 Spurs and we're doing a school supply drive that ends at kickoff. President of the losing club has to serve beer for the winners in a lot of the winning club. We are greatly outnumbered so not sure we can pull it off but if there’s one thing we know how to do, it’s spend enough money to win
I really hope he can get a good run of being healthy. TRAINING: LOOK WHO'S BACK! Wed 21 Aug 2019, 4:00 PM
Joao Cancelo jersey looks ridiculous with his whole name on the back Good to see David Silva have a game like the one he has had today
Also in post game show they are going at VAR again, saying there should have been a penalty for stepping on Silva foot. I guess I dont understand how that wasnt given either but at least it didnt change the outcome of the game this time...
Just need to keep an eye on when tickets go on sale, think I've already talked the wife into going. Seeing two games in the 9 days I'm there would be awesome timing, especially games against Chelsea and a Champions League game
Seriously, find the closest official City group and join them. If there’s not one near you, PM me and I’d be happy to get you in contact with the Columbus prez. He got me tickets and City really hooks you up
I did join the metro Detroit one. I'll ask them about tickets. They were going to look into the Chelsea match for me but the portal was down and I had talked my wife into the legends club at that point so I just booked it.
I think they won’t be able to book tickets for a few weeks. I went mid March and the window to get tickets opened January 24th
Assuming that it's not good, sounds like Pep may plan on playing Fernandinho at CB some and I could see Walker playing there with Cancelo playing RB. I'd guess Otamendi and Stones get most the starts
Paid the 35 bucks to become a cityzen matchday member so I would get early access to buying Champions league tickets and it was totally worth it. Just bought tickets to the Shakhtar match in section 127 which is the first section next to the benches and in the first row for face value. So all in I got two front row tickets just off center of the pitch next to the benches for less than a total of 100 Now front row you may not have as good of sight lines, but I am a little higher up for the Chelsea match, think it would be an amazing experience to be in the front row for a match and I am really pumped now
Some bumps in the new fifa ratings. 10 in the top 100 KDB is a 91 and is #5 ranked player Aguero is 89 and #13 Sterling is 88 and #24 Ederson is 88 and #34 David Silva is 88 and #35 Fernandinho is 87 and #44 Bernardo is 87 and #47 Laporte is 87 and #49 Sane is 86 and #57 Rodri is 85 and #95
walker or fernandinho maybe a young guy idk its probably champions league or bust at this point because its going to be tough to tread water in the league. just get everyone healthy for the knockout round. i love pep but not signing a replacement for kompany was arrogant and completely negligent
Listening to Pep talk and reading between the lines, I think FFP prevented signing another CB and he used the money elsewhere instead. Rodri was a big need, but going after Cancelo over another CB seems to be a bad decision. Especially since he hasn't even really used Cancelo yet
Not that I’d also feel comfortable with him playing but don’t forget they also let Mangala leave for free with 1 year left on his contract
