i didnt see the nip-na'vi series or much of the nip-vp series but nip has done well in the laning stage pretty much every game i have seen. and they've lost their advantage transitioning from laning to midgame. when they have done well into midgame, they've been completely lost transitioning to late game. even g2 yesterday versus VG, they had zero clue how to approach high ground. basically what i'm saying is i think Ace is completely responsible for their failings. obviously he's not an elite player but i think his inability to carry, keep up his farm, etc. is a big problem. i don't know how to link exact moments on youtube but at ~8 min, Ace's jugg at wand, phase, culling, and stout with 912 gold banked and was 3300 net worth, top of the game. i'm not exactly sure when he got them, but at ~13 min he's added Drums and has 650 gold so he's farmed like 1200 gold considering the 912 gold he already had. In five minutes. His net worth is 4652 which is now fourth behind a brood and Kunkka/LS, who are 1500+ on him. Ace just sucks and I think is the reason why NiP has been bad this tournament. he had one good Alch game in a 4 protect 1 strat and that's been it.

Their confidence as a team just disappeared. You can tell by their lack of use of the chat wheel this year. They were always one of the cockiest/biggest BM teams the last couple years (And that was part of what made them so good) but their games are basically silent now.
Yeah, Invoker 4 has been a staple for a bunch of teams this TI though, and MidOne has played Jakiro mid for Secret a few times I think. Honestly the techies was the weirdest pick.
I really like Tsunami. Glad he's finally been getting more of a shot to work events. Last night he was summing up the day in a long monologue and made one tiny speaking error and then immediately was like "Oh, noooo… I was so close to doing well :(" before finishing up.
The Grant/BSJ/Kyle team is always top notch imo. Grant killed me last night, it was late like 2am or something and Kyle asked them what their fake name would be if they could make one up. Grant was like Ronald with no D on the end. He was so quick with it like he's thought about it before. He said he wants a name he gets upset with when someone pronounces or spells it wrong. Grant "Ronal" Harris folks.
Also during the cast Kyle was talking about how there's a lot of casts going on and he was glad that their viewers chose their cast and said they really appreciated everyone, and then immediately Grant was like "Yes, thank you very much everyone for tuning in... Except you. And you know exactly who you are." Was hilarious.
Really happy for Grant. He went from outcast of his favorite game to a fan favorite and desirable by tournament organizers. Hope he's enjoying his life, who knows how long this career can last.
