It’s been very good all year. Lots of attacking teams. I think as a league it has the most or 2nd most goals scored all season
Leonardo is out as sporting director for Milan. Maldini future tbd Hit Piatek Paqueta Bakayoko Miss Castilejo Laxalt Huigian Caldera
Rumor is Lille sporting director is lead name for replacement. Luis Campos took a team near relegation to 2nd the following year and built the team with under 23 talents for the most part.
And Gattuso is fired... He did a pretty good job all things considered. Team took big strides under his leadership. But its clear he's not ready to be the manager of team like Milan. I hope he lands some where in Italy as he could do well for a mid table team.
Its gonna depend on the new coach. He flurished under Gattuso but after the winter break he and Gattuso got into some heated exchanges on the practice fields, locker room and then the cameras caught it during a game where Bakayoko could be seen clearly saying "fuck you, fuck you, fuck you" to Gattuso. I would exercise the option on Bakayoko. He and Kessie play the same role. Milan could make a good profit to fund a player coming in from the sale of Kessie. So it makes sense for use to go in that direction. But with a new coach, new sporting director no clue what we do with him. As a fan I 100% would like him back. He was fantastic. My list above was a hit/miss on the transfers under Leonardo during his run as SD not a list of who will be sold/kept.
Yeah, not surprising. Hearing some depressing stuff about Milan not bringing him back to go along with selling Gigi, Suso and Piatek
Sarri at Juve seems like an odd fit. They clearly want CL success and he doesn't have much to speak of. Plus, him and Napoli have this love affair going on... that can't sit too well with Juve and Napoli supporters. Regardless, excited to see what he can do there, Chelsea certainly didn't have the players to play the Sarriball.
Totti going scorched earth on the Roma ownership group may be enough to force the jackass sociopath to sell it.
The owner is a piece of shit who is scamming the legit candidates for ownership. He fucked up a deal that would’ve had Palermo debts all paid and a fresh start ahead in Serie A. He then killed that deal and found some bullshit fund he claimed would buy the team. Turns out they were bogus. Since then he got punished by the Italian federation and it almost sent Palermo to Serie C. After a ton of blowback the Italian federation only removed Palermo from the playoffs and left them in Serie B. Go back 48 hours and Palermo had to pay the registration fee and fill out the proper paper work to play in Serie B. They missed the deadline for both payment and paper work. There was talks of them being forgiven for the over-site but now this... This is a team that has amazing support and a shit tier owner. The best thing at this point is the club go bankrupt and a new owner, a legit owner take over
You in Sicily now? I remember someone saying they might be around the time I currently am. I was at Castallamare tonight for dinner and stroll around the cove
Lukaku is good in debuts. Inter might be a happy medium where he avoids acting like he is too good for his club (Everton) and being charged with unrealistically restoring a once great club back to the top (Man U) He has had an awkward relationship with the fans of whoever he’s played for but it doesn’t come close to approaching the strangeness of Icardi and Inter fans.
for United scored in half the preseason matches including citeh and 6 of the first 7 including a brace in opener then we played a top 6 opponent and he was meh
going to laugh when Demiral is in the starting lineup this weekend over De Ligt would also expect Chiellini to return.
I did find him not starting to be interesting... Milan started the C team and paid for it. Lineup tomorrow looks a little better.
That was amazing. Koulibaly has only had like 10 days of training with the team. Made two bad mistakes in both games. Napoli showed some grinta.
From posts on other soccer boards this seems to be the consistent Italian fan POV. They emphasize that they do not act this way toward black players on their on team. They also point out that they make fun of other races/ethnicities on visiting teams, such as eastern europeans ( gypsies) and Asians. As a culture they literally are blind as to how their behavior at soccer games is racist. Even the black Italians who post seem to be in line with it. It’s peculiar.
