I'm happy you want to take the time to research the best options for everyone when they ask what they should do itt. I'll tag you each time someone asks if you would like. That way you can let them know the actual numbers and facts.
Still trying to figure out redzone. I’m never getting rid of YouTube TV. It’s just so much better than Hulu and sling. I might just add sling for nfl season just to watch redzone but I’m not cancelling YouTube. Could just make a powermove and get nfl Sunday ticket.
Hoping they can at least add Redzone as a pay option, I prefer it to watching full games on Sundays. I'll pay a season cost that isn't absurd.
Should be obvious and offered on all streaming services like it is on cable but it wasn’t last year. I don’t understand why they don’t. Just ability to make sure anyone who wants it can pay for it seems like a no brainer.
I just don't understand why the NFL doesn't agree to this. All it would mean is more eyes on their product and more money in their pockets. Hell, just do what HBO does and create your own Roku channel and charge the customers directly yourself.
Directv is also a gigantic piece of shit here. Really they should change their model so they can provide the service as hoc for anyone. Instead they try to bleed another $600 from users on an already inflated cost model, due to their exclusivity. Makes zero sense and they’re throwing away 80% of the people who they’re currently fucking the second the exclusivity expires. Good news is, the NFL can opt out after this season.
Tried turning on the Bengals preseason game for a minute and it says “this program is not available for streaming on the internet”. Wtf YTTV????!!! It’s on a local station but still.
Parents want to get rid of their TV services Requirements BTN Local channels MSNBC Fox Regular TV channels like SyFy TNT History truTV Discovery etc Able to multi stream at the same time (3+) Badgers and Packers games Recommendations?
If you only care about ESPN and SEC Network: https://www.suppose.tv/tv?m=17&f=1l17l113!114!118!122!120!1384!359!360l250l50l1l1lll1&r=ByVmsAIO4
I’m still trying to figure out why the Bengals game was “not available to stream on the internet” on Saturday. I didn’t think this was going to be an issue but I won’t be happy if this happens for regular season stuff.
It was talked about on Reddit that the preseason games could be blacked out for locals but the regular season games are exempt.
I guess I don't really see the point of giving a recommendation if it's just going to be a boilerplate one. That just seems like an asshole move to me. Emma explicitly mentioned the History channel and YTTV doesn't even have it. But you said YTTV had him covered when it took all of 30 seconds to see they're lacking that channel.
he didnt explicitly mention it like it was going to be a dealbreaker he just said regular TV channels and listed some examples just shut the fuck up
Maybe it isn't a deal breaker, but he mentioned it by name. Exactly what's the point of giving recommendations in here if you're such a lazy prick that you can't even check if a service has the channels mentioned before recommending it?
I feel like its more that you have an issue with YTTV because anytime someone brings it up you barge in here unannounced and try to play the “good guy” card
Lol you are all over my nuts itt. Just telling him what the best service is. If your opinion differs feel free to let him know. You're wasting your time with me.
Me, on the last page: ----- I replied to a post of yours that was about me. It was from a discussion that you started with me after I replied to other people (not you). How does you initiating a conversation with me, and then me replying to you, constitute me being all over your nuts?
Might be slightly off topic but if someone likes history channel and it’s not a specific show they have but just enjoys history, do some research into some YouTube channels to follow. I’ve watched some incredible history videos that are way better than anything history channel or any of the recycled bullshit on cable has and they are free.
posted before but do you know anyone in grad/med school? my buddy's wife is in med school and that qualifies her for the student discount. its only $30/month for them and i just venmo them money every month
It may have something to do with unless a preseason game is a national broadcast, they’re usually only carried locally/regionally - for example, here in D/FW, the Cowboys have their own Blue Star Network that broadcasts any preseason game not on national TV, and it’s usually on the CBS affiliate here.
New antenna works. Don’t even really need to power it. Power helps NBC, but the others come in just fine. Will still probably get YTTV for football season for the cable channels.
Rog already said they are probably pulling out of their deal at the end of the season. Best case scenario is this doesn’t get resolved and makes the contract dead at the end of the season official. Edit: their exclusivity with the package.
To be clear, Jarvis is still working extremely well and I don’t even have cable with them. Just found this interesting as this affects a lot of people.
Oh yeah my wife and her fam are packers fans so we’ve had the package or “streams” for years. I’d 100% purchase it if there were more options because we use it. Also thanks for the update. Worked on that a bit this weekend.
They’re my second favorite team, I always want them to win with one exception. But yeah, they’re all fucking nuts so it’s better when they win.
This makes zero sense and I am pretty sure they are just trying to determine how stupid people really are.
This is me after making the switch from Sling to YouTube at the end of last season. Looks like you can get RedZone on mobile (not tablet, and prevented from casting) for $5 a month. No thanks on that though.
YTTV update: Now (may have gone into effect on Aug 1), YTTV no longer includes access to ESPN3 content. With that said, I don't see any P5 games on ESPN3, but that may change based on regionality of coverage.
