Really nice atmosphere but their AC sucks. Their servers aren’t great. All the food i had was really good.
Good food. A little overpriced (was still a little surprised even though I expected it going in). Service was good when I went but it was their first week.
The fuckers hang out near my door and launch a blitzkrieg as soon as I crack it open to let the dog out.
Any board reviews for Oktoberfest in Birmingham? I'm considering buying tickets unless I get poor feedback.
Sounds like they use to have it a restaurant and moved it when they closed. I’m hoping to make the one in Helen, GA but the one in Birmingham would be more convenient.
yeah. i'm having a lot of problems that a primary likely wouldnt be equipped to deal with but one could still refer me to someone who could.
I go to Dr. Luther here: https://www.grandviewmedicalgroup.c...view-medical-group-primary-care-homewood-2158 I've always been able to be seen the same day I've made the appointment.
Stolen truck update; They recovered it last night, pulled the guy over in Avondale less than a mile from my house. He ran, not sure if they got him (and don’t really care). Insurance company cashed me out on Monday and I handed over the title. When the cops called last night they asked if I wanted to pick it up or have it towed to the wrecker. Realizing if I picked it up I’d technically be in possession of a stolen vehicle, I told them to tow it. Went and checked it out this morning at the impound and was able to recover a few personal items. They stripped out the head unit and looks like they’d been doing dry wall work out of it. Basically it was ragged out but not beyond being salvaged. I’m contemplating asking insurance if I can get my mechanic to assess it, quote me, then use the funds they gave me to overhaul every potential mechanical issue, detail it, replace the head unit, and give them back the balance of the check they paid me. I just really don’t want a car payment and don’t have much need for a new vehicle. I’d rather rehab the shit out of it and drive it until the wheels fall off. wes tegg please advise, curious how insurance companies would typically handle these circumstances. It’s Cincinnati if that matters. They’ve been great to work with so far.
$11,500 on a 2006 F150 Lariat with 200,000 miles on it. They were more than fair and I didn’t pump anything up on my end.
Restaurant week. Didn’t see any amazing deals that jumped out yet. A lot of these places don’t really have any “deals” at all. You end up worse off imo in many instances. Standardized menu, not their best entrees (things they can churn out to the masses on a large scale), tack on a meh app/salad and dessert and charge you $50. Seems like the more casual places end up having the better options.
Problem solved. Take the check and get this. Short drive to Albertville. http://atcm.co/S2PVDP/1f3e2352
Daniel Johnson is easily one of our best and most important players. The poise to finish last night was a perfect example of that. Hopefully we can continue this hot streak and solidify ourselves a playoff spot. Two months left in the regular season but that would be huge for this first year team.
I think it’s just Nabeel’s market space on the corner that Hero is taking. Actual Nabeel’s restaurant staying open.
Not sure if Taylor Hollingsworth is still playing with them but he's at DCBC in Tuscaloosa tonight @8.
He's played with them the last couple of times I've seen them, I suspect he'll be in the line up Sunday. Love that guy, he's an absolute shredder and another in a long line of ridiculously talented musicians to carry to banner. Fell into a Dexateens youtube hole; loved that Lee Bains, Matt Patton, Sweet Dog period....First Dexateens show I ever attended, it was Matt Patton's birthday, at The Nick, he made it through maybe two songs before throwing his bass through the amp and falling off stage blackout hammered. God damn rock show.
Who has the best steak in Birmingham? Every time we have a business dinner with people from out of town we end up at Flemings or Perry's. Which is good, but I wish we had a good unique steakhouse that wasn't a damn chain off 280.
Places I can remember having great steaks that aren’t steakhouses: Bellinis Satterfields Gianmarcos But yeah, you are right. We don’t have any local steakhouses that aren’t chains. Kind of ironically, I’ve been told that Ocean has one of the best steaks in Birmingham. Never tried it.
Here's a good show. Elliott, Matt and Lee helped lay down some tracks on my buddy's EP. He's in this video.

Three straight reds cards, a double yellow, and 5 goals. Unlike any Legion game ever before. 6 wins in our last 7 games!
Had a great meal there Friday. My server was excellent. Said they get a lot of bros and people that just want to drink whiskey all throughout dinner, but wishes patrons cared more about wine.
