I feel like we should have a designated horde and ally server. I don’t know anyone who will play classic atm
Have never really played games with tmb folks but I’d be interested in finding a classic server to join up on.
One of my vanilla guilds is trying to get the band back together so idk Decent chance I just roll on one of the west coast servers And I will corpse camp you for days
True story I had to resurrect JoePesci in WoW one time on Kil'Jaeden server. He had died in the mountains where he couldn't retrieve his body and was crying for help in the general chat. I will now be rolling on WHITEMANG to cut off his leveling in STV at around level 30.
Blizz devs are estimating queue times for several hours for Herod. I think the smart move is to migrate off.
Got another name reserved on Feralina. I’ll have to check with my cousins and his friends if they’re willing to switch from Herod. Hour queues are a no go for me dog.
Right, I meant why the hesitation unless it’s like a supreme ideological stance of wanting to boycott retail. Definitely a shrewd move so they can obfuscate the difference between retail and classic players.
Since our last update, we have continued to see the community create new characters in preparation for the launch of WoW® Classic next week. During this process, we have seen a regular trend where characters keep being made on Full realms. Each of the Full realms has a LOT of characters to the extent that it may be more than can fit into the queue system. As a result, you may not be able to get into the queue when you want to play and even if you do, it will likely be a very long wait. For a better play experience, we highly recommend that players avoid creating characters on any realm marked as Full. Additionally, at this time, based on their expected population and queues, we strongly advise people to move off the following realms: Herod – PvP Faerlina – PvP Whitemane – PvP If you are currently planning to play on one of these realms, you should expect extremely long queue times that take several hours to get through. In order to have a better play experience, we urge players on these realms to consider moving to the Blaumeux (Pacific Time Zone) and Skeram (Eastern Time Zone) realms. All of the existing realms have a healthy population. Even a Full realm in 2006 would be Low by our current metrics. Any realm that is listed above Medium should expect queues at launch, with increasing severity from High to Full.
Yep, by the time Pesci can get into the server I will already be level 35 waiting for him on the road outside Silverpine. Tick-tock, Pesci.
Alright, so my cousin is uncommitted to a server. What server is TMB playing on? I’ll try and reserve a name tonight.
It's cool to see Asmongold with 200k+ viewers, dude's loyalty to streaming the game has paid off in a major way.
this release is a joke the pacific time pvp server, kurinaxx, that they made available like an hour ago has a queue of 5k already maybe if you re-release the most popular mmo ever with massive hype you should have more than like a dozen servers available
Asmon getting D/C'd live on stream in front of 150k viewers and getting tossed to the back of a 17k queue was amazing content. he literally went to bed and his stream is just him sleeping.
i love pretty much everything i've played from blizzard over the past 20+ years but i'm not sure if this first day could have gone worse from my pov they started with like a dozen realms that filled immediately after they allowed people to reserve names TWO WEEKS AGO and then waited until release day to add enough to satisfy the demand, well after people had made plans about which servers they were rolling on eastern kingdoms crashed on stalagg where some of my old guildmates rolled and they were rewarded with a ~10k person queue
EQ classic servers had the same problem each launch. First day is always the best day to avoid playing
You wanted the classic experience, you got it. I’m sure blizz is worried classic will die off just like retail has and then they’ll have to merge everything
