I’ve heard the dreaded words that no man ever wants to hear for his pregnant wife, Spoiler “I’m sorry we ran out of buns a few minutes ago.”
not gonna lie, as a Popeyes connoisseur for the past 15+ years, having to deal with the nouveau fans backing this shit up to ridiculous levels is really starting to piss me off.
Imagine all the shitty service we've dealt with over the years for the crunchy, only for these lemonade sippin' CFA fucks to come sell out our chicken sandwiches so I can't get one at 6:45pm at night.
Hopefully the craze dies down and eventually we can all get our Popeyes without having to pray about bun scarcity
I feel pretty blessed. The popeyes 5 mins away from my house is run like a well oiled machine. Always has a couple managers in there calling out plays and audibles like waffle house workers
I didn't want to say anything, but the two Austin area locations I have gotten sandwiches from this week were no busier than I would expect for normal First one was up north, and there was literally nobody in the drive thru when I got there about 1pm Second was on the East side and had two cars ahead of me when I pulled up
Friend just sent this of the line at a Bham location. Notice the sad, empty Guthrie's getting cucked.
Fuck that line. Walked up front and asked manager if I could put in a bulk order for tomorrow. He called his boss and she said yes. I heard the manager say to her that he was off tomorrow so I slid him a few dollar for coming in to do this. Tomorrow, we eat.
dblplay1212 , if you don’t post the picture of that mountain of sandwiches don’t ever talk to any of us again. JK, you’re great at the picture stories in this thread.
But that’s not what it’s about. It’s about spreading the delicious good word of chicken to the people.
i pulled right up to the window at lunch time the other day felt like bragging to mention it in here (I don't think I did but i may have)
Stopped by Popeyes after work this evening for another round of the greatest chicken sandwich on Earth. Waited 25 minutes in line and ordered the spicy combo with regular size fries and a drink. I was polite to the guy at the register and said I hoped they were getting a raise or bonus or some shit for busting their asses these last couple weeks. He said “shit, me too bruh.” Laughed it off and gave me a large cup and told me it would be 5 minutes for the order. No problem man. 10 minutes later, I get a bag with no fries but 2 spicy sandwiches in it. 10/10 Popeyes experience. Will go for round 3 sometime next week.
I'm very much contemplating where/when to get round 2 this weekend. Going to meet some friends and have our fantasy draft. Pizza tomorrow night, may save it for my Sunday morning come to Jesus meal.
Today was kind of like our end of the month. I can't make money without the processing dept. Those folks work way harder than me for way less money. Least I can do is show my appreciation.
My friend has never even been to a Popeyes. We show up to the one near where we live to be greeted by this sign: I then drive us 15 minutes away to the ghetto. The place is fucking hopping. I place my spicy sandwich order. He steps up, they yell from the back that I’m the one that gets the last sandwich of the night. We agree to split and he orders tenders. We wait for about 10 minutes. They had given away the last sandwich before my order so I didn’t get one. They substituted spicy tenders. They were also out of forks/spoons which I needed for my mashed potatoes Needless to say he got the full experience
rarely does something actually live up to the hype but it's bizarrely satisfying when it does bought another spicy sandwich today btw
