Yea never got the Christie’s hype, I live right by it and I’ve gone only a few times. Nodding Donkey imo if you want sports on TV and a non shitty sports bar experience in this very specific area.
I always enjoyed it. But yea it’s in Uptown. Close to a lot of other bars if you want to bounce or find another spot.
Hello friends I will be back in less than 2 weeks for 3 nights this time. Pecan Lodge will be happening again. This time I'm staying at the doubletree by Mid evil Times castle thingy. Where would I drink on a Thursday night? Also Mexican suggestions please? I went to a Mexican joint a few years ago but I forget where and what it was. Also is Luka back in town yet so I can tell him Trae is better?
Got stuck in Love for 3 hrs worth of delays and then apparently they decided to turn the runway into Laguardia and only had one open. Big thumbs down
For BBQ I did Lockharts and Pecan Lodge again and both where wonderful. Thought about standing in line for Cattleacks but did that for Franklin's in Austin and refuse to wait for BBQ over an hour ever again. Also did Campuazano for Tex Mex and meh
Hey guys, I just got a new job in the north Irving area, literally just right of the airport. Does anyone here happen to know some nice, decent places to live in the area so the commute isn’t hell? My budget is around 1200 a month for rent, I’d say.
I work right there as well, but I live in south Arlington so I guess my commute would be considered hell. Based on wanting to live somewhat close to work and have a few things to do, I'd recommend checking out Grapevine.
I would look at Euless, there are some fairly inexpensive options there and the commute is pretty easy.
New places by the music factory maybe, but $1200 is low end for the space y’all might need. I’d expect to be more around $1500 for anything 1,000+ sqft in a decent area.
I don’t think we’ll need much space, really. 750+ sq ft or so should be okay, as it’s really only a temporary thing until the wife figures out what she’s gonna do after baylor
The Star - Cowboys training facility. I’m not a Cowboys fan but it’s a cool area. There’s a lot of good restaurants right by it. The soccer hall of fame is at Dallas FCs stadium never been but heard it’s supposed to be really cool. Right across from the stadium is bar/restaurant nerdvana. Surprisingly good food and video games. Other restaurants: Union Bear Brewing Co - good beer, cocktails, food. Decent place for sports. Heritage Table - Dinner only, in an old house on historic main st. Great food not terribly expensive. As stated Hutchins, I really like Tender Smokehouse too.
Took my wife and 18 month old son one Sunday for Brunch. We were confused to walk in to them blasting Eazy-E. Quickly found out they do Hip Hop brunch. It was awesome as was the food.
Tons. Depends on what you are looking for but lots of sports bars. Couple really good steak houses. Tight Ends is a pretty popular breastarant in Frisco. Check them out on Insta. Where are you staying?
