Gotta think that Greg Schiano, Butch Jones, Phil Fulmer, and Jon Gruden are all potential hires you’re looking at very closely right now.
he's good at being a DC. Wonder if tennessee is just fucked as a program if he cant have any success.
He’s largely believed (maybe even confirmed) to have ranked Michigan like 4 or 5 in 97. Pretty sure it was the difference. It could have debunked too but the story survives
Just because Priutt laid an egg doesn't mean hiring Schiano was better. I think I'm record for going for Satterfield. I would loved Dino Babers.
Voted UM #4 in ‘97 after Woodson won the Heisman over Manning + ran up the score on us a couple years later in the Citrus Bowl...up big and kept their starters in and were still going deep with a minute & change on the clock
Oh, okay. That was year if we beat #1 Nebraska in the bowl game, and Michigan lost we would've been crown National Champs. Nebraska beat the beejusus out of us, and Michigan won. I'll carry the Heistman of Charles Woodson in my heart forever.
He did rank us 4th, but if he ranked us 2nd we still would have lost. If he ranked us first (wasn't going to happen) we would have tied.
First of all, I did no such thing. I was fine with that sinking his hire though. I do think it was very stupid for our AD Curry to try and hire a guy (outside of the list boosters put together) associated with the PSU scandal, while UT was undergoing a NCAA probe of how the University handles sexual assault. AJ Johnson was on trail for rape for 3 years, because of the legal admissibility of text messages. AJ was ultimately found not guilty. And everyone Curry talked to said Schiano wouldn't fit. It was wildly unfair, what Schiano was accused of by UT fans. But I'm still happy he isn't our coach.
I didn't say you personally did any of those things. Many in the fanbase did though. Everything else that you said is fair.
