Fuck. That's a big haul but Tunsil is a young, elite LT. He's what you're hoping to get with a first rounder. Idk how to feel
I really think draft picks are overrated when you're giving up such a high value talent at a position that is hard as shit to fill. Everyone romanticizes draft picks like sure things but you have to keep good players at some point.
I think you guys know I don't like any of the Miami teams at all but you guys just set yourselves up for long term success with those picks, if you can hit on them. It's gonna suck for a few years but you should be very happy with that trade.
But realistically No one else plays in that division, so they should win it, putting the pick in the 20s at best. Not like we’re getting elite talent there. We drafted fucking Charles Harris in the 20s
Hand all those picks over for 1 shot at a QB to be the franchise guy, but also he doesn’t get Tunsil to protect him
Also trading stills isn't a good look even if you can rationalize it from a football standpoint. Not with the recent Ross news
Ross is a moron But anyone with a brain knew stills was going to be dealt after he called out the owner to the media so idk why anyone would be surprised about him being added to this
Hoping we play Fitz behind our new, worse O-line, and manage not to make a complete hash of what has to be a historical haul of draft picks back to back. I'd rather of kept Tunsil, but damn if your goal is a total rebuild, this is what following through looks like. I guess I'd rather be a doormat this year with the chance of being spectacular in a couple, than perennially mediocre. Seen plenty of that, eh?
Yes, I will continue to lead the Tank for Trevor/Lose for Lawrence Express, wouldn't hate to see us get the number 1 pick this year and trade back for someone who really wants Tua, grab more picks and then get someone like Jeudy/an OL/Delpit.
I think you're vastly overestimating the odds of us landing a specific number 1 pick. It's not really a situation where we can afford to get the #1 this year and say fuck it, we can just trade back and get Lawrence next year. You get a shot at This you take it. Chances are you won't get a shot at Tua and Lawrence back to back.
They traded him straight up for a third stringer. Insane we couldn’t even get one draft pick for him... strictly a salary dump
I don’t really think there ever was a point to the Rosen trade... Only explanation is that they’ve seen him in camp and know he’s not the guy? I find that hard to believe. But they just gave him zero chance to succeed... and if the plan has been to tank 2019 for a while, the Rosen trade makes even less sense
I honestly don't think they really intended to trade Tunsil. They just got an offer that they never expected to get and pulled the trigger.
feel like the thread title needs to be changed since we're doing the right thing miami dolphins: a new hope?
