I would put CFA and Culvers in the same lane. Both are damn good at what they do and stay consistent. I've said it before but people are sleeping on the Culvers buffalo chicken strips paired with blue cheese and curds.
I ate at a Culver's once because Joey's world tour reviewed it The burger was alright but it took a really long time and was expensive. There are usually regional chains and places like steak n shake that do it better cheaper and faster. Still a huge step up from the international garbage out there (mcd BK etc)
Also, I’ve mostly cut sodas out of my diet, but their root beer is too good to not grab when I’m there.
In Bergen norway I had fish and chips from a stand where they fileting the fish right off a boat in the harbor. That was better than Culver’s.
So gave Culver's a try today due to this thread. It was fucking terrible. Ordered a triple cheddar butter burger, cheese curds, chicken fingers and fries. I received a double cheddar butter burger with bacon, a double hamburger with nothing but mustard, fries and curds. Also had to pull up past the drive through line and wait 10 minutes. Burger was a 7. Curds were good but for some reason I was expecting cheddar. solid food but certainly not worth the wait or the money. Especially if they are going 0-2 on my entrees.
I had a coupon for 2 for 1 double butterburgers yesterday. Got me some cheese sauce for dipping. I enjoyed my experience very much.
I'm open to this theory as the one in Knoxville has packets spicy brown mustard next to the ketchup, but the establishments I've been to in Georgia do not.
Basically any location south of KS is going to be a mixed bag, much like It'sAlwaysSunnyInAthens order.
I hear what you're saying. My retort is, if you're going to fast food fish, you need to re-evaluate your life decisions that have gotten you to that point.
Yea I remember you guys saying that. My experience in Georgia is probably way different than what you guys are accustomed to.
Just dropping off a spicy chicken sandwich review. Bun was good. Mild heat. Good cut of chicken. Decent crunch. I’d rank it 2nd behind CFA, ahead of Wendy’s. I have not had Popeye’s.
