This might be the most excited I’ve ever been for an opening game ever. Have to coach a youth club game an hour away at 2:15, so I’m going to miss the entire game.
I used to like popping in and talking Cleveland high school football in this thread every now and again. Not sure if that's kosher anymore now that the Browns are good, but anyway... last night had an instant classic with city #2 Mentor rallying to beat city #3 St. Ignatius 38-31 after trailing 31-17 after 3 quarters. Below is the final Ignatius throw of the game that would have sent the game to OT but was caught just out of bounds. Mentor with an insane start to the year beating Ignatius and Eds. Ignatius with a chance to rebound vs. city #1 Hoban next week (ranked top 15 nationally).
