It’s like you haven’t seen this movie before. We’re gonna go 7-9. Pick 14th and sign overpaid over the hill FA with our cap space
Was at this game. Poured before the game and then was blazing hot all day, just like Marino’s arm that day
Only question is what do we do with #1 and all these picks Go Tua(if he comes out) or fill out all our other needs and then shoot for Lawrence next year?
You get a qb and build around him I prefer Lawrence but I think the tanking competition for him is going to be fierce
Yeah but you draft a few pieces to start building something decent, and you might miss on Lawrence We really miss-timed the tank job by one year
Sad reality is had we listened to that moron Ross we would have had Lamar Jackson starting for us today
You don't pass on Tua if you need a QB. People talking about just getting the #1 pick again the next year like it's just that easy and not subject to 10 million variables are insane.
This year is going g to prove how colossally stupid tanking in the NFL is. We can have the best draft for 2 years and still work our way to an 8 win team becuase the NFL doesn't work by loading up on rookies. We will basically have a college team next year. You can't deplete your talent to the level we have since Gase got rid of anyone remotely good and then that around with a season of tanking evne further.
I'd argue the exact opposite and say the NFL is built for quick turnarounds with good management. Not necessarily what we saw today to Superbowl in a year, but if this staff makes smart decisions we can absolutely play our way out of the first overall pick race next year.
Yes but THIS bad. It's one thing to turnaround some decent pieces and add some good players. It's another to be historically bad.
But making good signings plus smart draft picks can turn around a franchise rather quickly Of course we haven’t made smart draft picks in a long long time but I’ll allow this front office time to prove themselves
You guys are going to be real bummed when we draft Tua and then sit him all year until we have a competent line
How many of our starters would start on other teams? 2? Maybe 3? Add on that I’m sure some of our players wouldn’t even get jobs elsewhere. This is going to be a long process
There are guys over at Finheaven that are still in denial that this team is that bad. Some dannyboycane level spin.
Other problem. Making your team this bad and unattractive isn't exactly going to appeal to all those sexy free agents with all that cap space Maybe Antonio Brown
Miami as a city will always be an attentive spot for free agents if we are offering equal contracts to guys We just can’t be signing bums expecting them to start and they don’t even make it out of training camp
Most interesting to me is how Flores responds. I am not into hiring BB assistants, they always seem to flame out... and after seeing their defense not skip a beat at all, reinforces some thoughts that their D is all BB as it always has been. We suck, but if Flores can't get them to respond at all and at least compete... not a great sign. This is going to be a long year, but hopefully he can get them to at least buy in and play hard for him.
