and i was wrong on thinking the javonte hype was a bit misguided. kid is a stud. believe his only offer was app st and luckily the state title game was in kenan which is the only reason he got an offer from larry. i love watching him run
It's crazy that Antonio comes home from a program like Ohio State and is still 3rd string here, he seems pretty happy though and that's a hell of a third option to have
the logan/hood combo was more talented than the javonte/carter one but i think when you include antonio, this rb group is better overall best talent wise since little/draughn/houston?
damn what a shame, still has that red shirt I believe if he wants it, I'd imagine he'd still shoot for the draft route first though
doubt he will be ready to go for the combine so idk if he'll get drafted. he may not care a la arw tho
Think a big difference there is ARW really didn't have much room for stock improvement with another year.
had really high hopes for shaw when he committed. hope he gets healthy and steps up. might need to move corey bell back to corner
Hard to compare as the previous staff didn't appear too interested in seeing how good the Logan/Hood combo could be.
forgot about him committing when mack first got his staff set up. that ranking is concerning but hopefully he surprises
3:30 kick for app state like that. was worried about a noon kick and us not being able to match the intensity of them because this is gonna be one of the biggest games in program history for them
yeah tickets for that game are going higher than Miami/Clemson, I think that fan base is a little excited
These breakdowns are so much more fun with the winning and what not Hope he does the last touchdown too as I'd love to hear his thoughts on whether Sam was genuinely going through his progressions or if he was trying to look off a defender with Javonte in the flats. In the postgame he said Dazz was his first option, leading you to believe it's the latter, which is just insane to think about with a guy two games deep in his freshman year.
Polino going out really coincided with a precipitous drop in offensive production on Saturday. I was too drunk to tell if it was playcalling or the change in OL that was hurting us but i watched the new kid on a few snaps and he seemed to do alright. Looked a little undersized though and I’m assuming he’s also responsible for some of the OL calls that I can’t really judge him on.
rell is really teasing at some good stuff in the scoop today. really excited give me cade, ziaire, caleb, sharpe and whoever as the 5th
Reading up on wake; haven’t really kept up with that side of the division so was surprised to see us as 3.5 point dogs (now down to 3). Think it’s going to be a really tough test against a pretty well coached team who has been in the same system for a while.
They'll put up points for sure, hoping our trump card is the rushing attack against what looks like a suspect defense so far
Agreed. One pleasant surprise for me has been Longos commitment to the running game and the TOP battle. I know he had some issues at ole miss last year where the offense was either 3 and out or 3 and TD. Hoping we can keep those sustained drives going and wear teams down with our RB and OL depth.
saw a wake board convinced we hired galloway, bateman and boone in order to get a leg up on wake and the whole wakeyleaks thing
According to Bill C they had to replace both safeties from last year but returned at least a few of their run stuffers up front. Were really bad last year at generating pressure so may be an opportunity for Sam and the WRs.
Well that didn't disappoint. Seems kind of similar to Cole's recruitment where everyone assumed he was Duke bound until it was revealed how much he was feeling UNC, minus the whole brother dynamic at play here.
Wake is well coached and we haven’t recruited well enough to our talent them. This game could get ugly. Their defense seems to know every play we are running.
