https://sports.yahoo.com/nick-saban...ams-that-we-can-get-to-play-us-002204454.html time for danny to make his 10th call to alabama since they're apparently finally willing to play us.
Just back from the game in Boca, thoughts: - That place was completely overwhelmed and had no idea how to handle the # of people that were there. It wasn't incompetence its just that there was nowhere near enough people to handle all those trying to get in the games. People were jumping fences, etc. That was the reason for the late arriving crowd, if we hadn't found a quick gate we would have missed the entire 1st quarter. - DG looked good at times, way off at times. The comparison to Year 1 Milton is very apt. I am a bit concerned about his accuracy, but he throws an amazing deep ball. - Mid 1st quarter to mid 2nd quarter the whole offense looked like crap, OL couldn't block anyone and DG/whole offense ground to a halt. - Defense couldn't tackle worth a shit between the 20's in the 1st half, looked way way better overall in the 2nd half. - Screw Stanford for messing up Gameday for us. I'm not worried about their defense after they gave up 45 to USC with a backup QB. Them getting their QB back next week concerns me a little but we can win a horse-race if that is what it takes. - Our RB's are the best unit in the country, hands down.
They weren't coming anyway. It was already announced before they lost plus I don't think they'd come back to Orlando for a 3rd time in like 6 or 7 game weeks.
Joe Burrow has basically been Tom Brady since that pick 6 when we knocked his helmet off. You’re welcome #LSU Tigers for your heisman and natty.
I hate when trolls get votes in polls. McMurphy somehow thinks beating UC-Davis by 14 last week and a 1 pt win over Washington makes you the 16th best team. This is all around bad. 1. Clemson (1) 2. Georgia (2) 3. Alabama (3) 4. LSU (8) 5. Oklahoma (5) 6. Ohio State (7) 7. Auburn (4) 8. Notre Dame (8) 9. Utah (10) 10. Penn State (14) 11. Florida (12) 12. Texas (13) 13. Texas A&M (11) 14. Michigan (6) 15. Wisconsin (16) 16. Cal (NR) 17. Oregon (17) 18. Mississippi State (18) 19. Michigan State (19) 20. Memphis (20) 21. Virginia (21) 22. Boise State (22) 23. Iowa (23) 24. Washington State (25) 25. UCF (NR)
It was a shitshow. It took 2 hours for us to get off the exit and into the stadium. They had 2 ticket scanners at my gate. Absolute joke.
I was at the game yesterday as well. Luckily I got in early, it was a mess. It’s crazy that our offense can play really bad for a stretch and we still put up 48 points in a shortened game. Defense looks so fast and athletic too. Some of these freshman DL are ridiculous. Also on Wimbush a couple of the more connected people are saying he’s having some mental health issues. Hopefully everything’s okay with him, that stuff is obviously more important than football.
Supposedly this week, but he’s not ready for action by Saturday. Maybe Pitt, unless we want to keep rolling with DG and/or Quad. I think this is DG’s squad moving forward, but I wouldn’t be shocked if DG and Mack are actually competing for QB1.
That makes me sad. I've only heard great things about him as a person. Hope he gets the help he needs.
I had fun last night, but what the hell #Florida Atlantic Owls. That has to be one of the worst run venues in college sports. And yeah, I get it. There was a lot of people and they were overwhelmed. But it wasn't a lot a lot, it was 30k and they knew it was going to be that amount for what.. months? It took me over an hour just to drive on campus and find the green cash lot I prepaid for. Danny needs to do his brother a solid and help him get that place fixed. That was embarrassing.
I did like knowing we have 3 studs at RB going into the season. Last night we found out we also now have a fucking wrecking ball there too. Bentavious is going to be a stud and brings something different to an already elite group.
Think he’s practicing Monday. He was out on the field before the game throwing with Gabe Davis and I saw him running around and cutting and he looked like he’s healthy
People ahead of us will start losing soon, which will be nice. We've gotta beat Stanford by a decent margin though after what USC did to them.
Totally agree - Stanford - Pitt - Temple - Houston - Cincinatti - USF We basically have an 8 game schedule and we're through 2 of them already and Cinci, Houston and USF have all looked terrible against p5 opponents. If we get through Sept 4-0... I mean...
Stanford gets their QB back but they don't look good this year. Still think Cincy and UH are the toughest games.
UH I would agree with if it was on the road but we get them at home. I think it should be pretty easy.
For the first time in years everyone who's good is also experienced and older. It's not like, "we need to see if these players can do well against better competition." We already know how good they were the last two years and we can only assume that the extra year of practice and training has made them at least somewhat better. The same team that mutilated most of the teams on the schedule is at it again and looks to have very few weak links. Book tickets to Cotton Bowl now boys.
I just checked the USF message board and learned that they are only 10 pt favorites against SC State.
With the defense seemingly much improved I looked up how many punts we maxed out at the last 2 years. We hit 7 vs Maryland in a 38-10 road win and 7 last year vs Memphis in the 31-30 win on the road. We hit 6 vs ECU with Mack playing. We averaged under 4 a game last year so if we get 6-7 stops from the defense in a game we're pretty much impossible to beat.
