He's already well versed that the first three albums are what you want to hear with High and Dry being the underappreciated gem in Pyromania's immense shadow. Take Hysteria with a grain of salt for the lady music it is with Gods of War being the exception.
Good, there's still time for him. You're not pushing any of that Yankees/Cowboys shit onto him are you?
I've been listening to new stuff but none of it did very much for me One of the parts reminded me of the riff from Burzum's Jesu Dod so I put that album on instead. Varg is who he is but this album absolutely rules. I think I like it more every time I listen to it with about a year's time in between.
i feel like the hostility toward scalloped potatoes is because their mom made some instant version of it that sucks it wrecks every other side dish know to man
He's a Jets fan actually. Favorite color as a toddler was green. It was understood rooting for the eagles would not be tolerated. And yes, the Cowboys are America's Team. Love them or leave it.
90s black metal is so silly and pretentious but for whatever reason i seem to like it more as i get older
Shit's gonna get real metal when my new computer gets here next week. Previous desktop died and I'm using this old ass laptop. Speaking of old.
I’ve heard the nazi rumors and stuff but I don’t know if they’re true or not. Their music kicks ass though. I look forward to checking it out as well.
I haven't seen any updates but I imagine their label, Northern Heritage, likely contributed to these rumors.
I think there was some kind of business arrangement between a band member(s) and a confirmed Nazi, but I can't keep up with all of that as much as I'd like to
They had some shows cancelled because of supposed nazi ties. The band issued a statement saying that the rumors were false and were taking legal action. Who knows.
What's that metal site that shows all the upcoming releases? I've taken one too many hydrocodones and can't remember.
New Ghost song sucks out loud. Hoping/guessing this is just a little retro interlude before they start work on the next album shortly.
Excited to listen to some of the new releases out this week, new Ram, new Imagika, new Blood Red Throne, new Year Of The Goat, new Crypt Sermon, new Entombed, new Destruction, new Sorcery, new Illdisposed...
The recent Illdisposed releases have been disappointing. I thought Sense The Darkness was a classic. Where did all the great riffs go? I am also excited for Crypt Sermon. The singles I’ve heard so far have been great. Which Entombed incarnation is putting out a new release? I’ve been enjoying the new Death Angel, and the onset of fall always makes me bust out Mercyful Fate, even more so with the recent tour announcement. I also just got the 12” LP version of Sulphur Aeon’s first full-length, Swallowed by the Ocean’s Tide, which I think is their best release.
The new Allegaeon wasn’t bad, but they have more melody than most technical bands. Nothing else comes to mind. The new Cattle Decapitation is out in Nov, and Abysmal Dawn is working on a new release.
I'm not tremendously familiar with all of the subgenres, but stuff like Obscura and Vektor are what I'm talking about.
Oh, Vektor doesn't really fall into that category. Obscura certainly does and they actually do a good job although I don't listen to them much. I was listening to this album earlier today, it falls into the genre you seek.
'better' as in it's good, or 'better' as in it's horrifically bad but not as horrifically bad as the first song?
