You can once you progress through the tree through side quests also in the Wilspire Waste the desert area if you know where to fight the catfish type monster area 10 as you drop down the small rapids there is a clump of 4 nulberry plants before you get into the his domain. Just look at your map at area 10 you will see a clump of blue berries on your map just before it
There are 3 levels to the Botanical Research with each giving more options to cultivate and another slot to use. I don’t remember exactly what you have to do to, maybe just advance the storyline? I’m sure google knows how.
I got officially addicted to the game this weekend. Logged more hours than I'd care to admit. I think people need to give until at least level 14, or like 20 before calling it quits on the game. I'm really enjoying it.
Haven't had a tempered one yet. Can't imagine how tough he is. His attacks are so weird, and that tail covers a lot of ground.
There was an event quest over the weekend for him, but it’s gone now. The regular one is kind of a joke, and I was pretty disappointed after all the hype surrounding it. But the tempered version was brutal. You really had to go into the fight completely optimized. Capcom did a hilariously good job trolling with the regular vs tempered version. It was, BY FAR, the hardest monster in the game. But it did drop Warrior/Hero’s Streamstones, so it was completely worth doing. Hopefully they bring it back for the April event. Capcom said they are bringing back most of the past event quests for it so you can get any special loot that you might have missed the first go around.
Who uses the Insect Glaive? What's your primary/default set-up? Right now I think my default set-up is.... Oda Helmet, Greaves, Mail, Braces Nergigante Coil Catastrophe's Light The decorations are dragon attack boost, attack boost, steadfast, footing, crisis, and a resistance jewel (I think there are more decorations, but I am doing this off of memory) I like that because of the polish and punishing draw from the Oda gear, plus the attack from Nergigante. It works well against most monsters, and I think it looks pretty cool as well. That said, I also have Vice that has locked elements, so I'm in the process of making a build that will help out unlocking the elements, so I can still has the attack charm. (I don't have ear plugs, polish, or really any decoration worth a shit). I like Bazel gear, 2 Kirin gear spots, have free element, and then I need to think through more to figure it out. Like I said, I am trying to come up with builds that aren't dependent on decor atm -- while still using B armor (with a couple exceptions), because I know I'll eventually get the decors needed if that makes sense.
Bump for the free trial going on for the next week on console. If anyone hasn't played, it's definitely worth at least trying out. I had a lot of fun playing. Also, some new info about the planned DLC (not until Autumn 2019 ). But other cool things are happening that might be of interest to fans of another franchise that I would have never thought could be involved in MH:W. Pretty fantastic and absurdly awesome cross-over. I played the beta for a few hours during the first week, and tried the Velkhana fight they did last week. The clutch claw is a fun addition and will definitely benefit coordinated teams. I look forward to poking new monsters to death. #lancelife
i really need to learn to use radials instead of clawing the dpad to scroll through a huge list of items
I forced myself to learn the radial menu early on. The only problem is occasionally I’ll hit slightly closer to one direction (i.e. hitting up when trying to hit upper left) and have to panic dive out of sharpening or something. But that’s much less stressful than scrolling through the d-pad scroll bar like 4 times looking for a potion while a mon is bearing down on you.
when i join a session theres only ever one other person in it and no one else ever joins. when i make a session no one ever joins. also no one responds to my flares ever. if i join a friends game theres no problems. whats the deal? which setting did i break?
Yeah, I just checked to see what sessions I could join and all of the sessions are only 1 or 2/16. I’ve played this 99% solo, so I never really check public sessions. I’m sure it’s been brought up on reddit or other forums, but I’ve avoided those this week so as not to be spoiled on anything. If you need help with anything though, let me know. Just got my first purple sharpness weapon
I've struck a good balance of using the radial menu and scrolling with the d-pad. Figured out a few weeks ago that you can rearrange the order of items on the item bar. Really helps to get the worthless stuff put at the end, and learning the order of stuff you normally use. Buffs then equipment then heals is how my bar is set up right now.
