Our offense is this good with a freshman that still doesn’t fully click yet. We going to be unstoppable as the season and his career goes on
Dline getting so close to putting crazy numbers up but their oline doing a good job overall. 3rd down defense and screen plays all that are letting me down today. Thoroughly dominating them.
That’s what happens when you play obviously inferior talent. Have we done anything other than a cover 2 since the 1st quarter
Vegas doesn’t know how to handicap us this year. With Pitt keeping it close this week, I would not be surprised to see another single digit line next week and I will be hammering it relentlessly as I have all season. I think we are closing in on 8 straight against the spread.
Defense starting to look legit good now. If anything just too aggressive at times and it exposes plays when we make ourselves vulnerable. TEs were having a lot of success it seemed. But all other big catches against us were in tight coverage as back shoulder throws. No one was getting beat and couldn't remember own coverages either.
Defense looks so much better than last year. More like the Cinci game and not temple, FAU, and Memphis where we would get shredded early.
What I love about DG so far is he shows something every week so far. While he still dropped some awesome deep balls (2 for touchdowns, another down at the 1)....he also unleashed a few. That 3rd and long on the first drive comes to mind. Pocket presense is outstanding. Only sacked once this season. Will be interesting to see him face adversity but another 4 TDs. That's 9 with zero ints and I don't even think a drive he has led this year has ended in a turnover (other than on downs).
One weird thing...UCF students. We showed up at the end of the first quarter (toddler reasons) and I saw a lot of students coming away from the stadium already. I thought maybe they were mostly turned away but once we were inside the students were already thinning out. Half gone by start of 3rd it seemed. Like I give the students a ton of credit. They show up for football and basketball and demand is above supply. But they are an odd bunch.
The ol' you're not allowed to drop as long as you win rule. Meanwhile UCF leaves no evidence of any drop off and voters still won't consider moving us up until the bowl game. McMurphy probably dropped us this week though.
Florida State might take a crack at him. If Chip doesnt get his shit together UCLA migjt be open again soon. I think he is here for a long while though.
https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bul...s-battle-cries-got-to-beat-the-knights-first/ It is so endlessly frustrating how small-minded and jealous college football is. G5 teams and their fans should be beating the drum for our success and access to the playoff, but they just can't seem to wrap their mind around it being the only way that any of them will ever have a shot at a national championship. Instead they pray for us to lose so they can mock us. As much as I love it, i fucking hate this sport sometimes.
Well we will enjoy $10 million. If anything the transition from Frost to Heupel has proven it’s that this job is easy to win at. Tear that GOL statue down
