Snit is a great dude and loves his guys. He’s not a brilliant in game dude but we could have Kapler or Martinez. I’m not gonna bitch overall, but I will snit pick when he does something blatantly stupid.
I just saw the replay of the Culberson play. Fuck Martinez Fuck the umpires Proud of Snit for losing his shit. I hope Charlie is ok Edit: Watched a linger clip and could see Rodney was upset and remorseful.
I have no problem with Snit’s reaction but I also have no problem with it being a strike by rule. Just a shitty thing to have happen.
Yeah I agree. No fault of the umpires but it’s fucked up that Davey’s first reaction to a guy maybe having his career end is to check the swing at first base
I'm sure Snit and the team appreciate the apology. However, you can't really back pedal from this. You asked for a check swing immediately after witnessing a player take a FB directly off his face steps away from your dugout. There's no backtracking from the decision he made. Dude was bleeding from his face.
It’s really weird that the Barves are playing and it’s early afternoon. So weird. But happy to be here. Thankfully I’m at NRG watching 2 FG beat 1 FG FML
Nats and Cards play in St Louis starting tomorrow. We will gain something every game in that series regardless. Either we trim a number off the division magic number or we trim a number off the #2 seed clinching magic number.
Davidson also had a 2.84 ERA once he got to AAA and made 4 starts There's no need to look any further into his performance or how he got to that number just know he's very good
Successful litmus test = hurtling to a 4th place finish (division, not league or even in all of MLB) with one of the most bloated payrolls in the league
the braves forgot to file our litmus test papers and have learned nothing from this season and thus will be unable to improve
Everything holds as it is the magic number will be 3 and the Cubs will be 0.5 back for the 1st Wild Card and Brewers 1 back for the 2nd Nats gonna fuck around and miss the playoffs
So how worried are we about Ron? He's been hitting under .200 over the last month with like 40 Ks, and he's missing on fastballs seemingly more than at any other point in the season. He's got about two weeks to get it going.
I will stop worrying the moment he hits his 40th homer because I think that's what has got him messed up
Not really too worried with Ron. He's got some Justin Upton to his game from a streakiness standpoint, and we've seen his hands/swing require more maintenance than others throughout the season. Seitzer will get him right. Also would be nice to get the kid some days off, considering he's tied for the lead in games played amongst NL players (along with two of his teammates and Starlin Castro).
I'm not worried about him long term, but we're getting really close to the postseason and he's on his longest cold streak since before last year's AS break. He may just need a break like you said, but I'm pretty concerned about what he'll do with playoff pitching when he's consistently getting beat by low-90s fastballs down the middle.
Looks like he *might* be close to working his way back out of it, will have to see over the next week or so.
