I made it through the first 1.5 sodes of culpable and had to quit. I didn’t hold my attention, at all.
Will give the clearing a shot. With as many true crime podcasts out there now, quality is lacking in most. Last one I truly couldn’t get enough of was season two of In the Dark. Everything else has been ehhhh to meh material. Feel like a real snob saying that.
i don’t listen to many podcasts (like at all) and i’m enthralled. they kind of jump around a little bit but overall the story is nuts can’t tell if the guy is just crazy and got lucky for years or if he’s actually a mastermind
Yea it’s not true crime like find it if he did it. Well it is a little bit. But It’s more reviewing his crimes and his mindset and his family. Interesting.
Started and got through most of culpable. As someone who lives and works close by I figured I’d find it interesting. Come to find out i went to rehab with one of the individuals who gets a lot of heat. Also as someone who is a recovering drug addict and has attempted suicide I’m assuredly certain that this was a case of suicide. The Fuckery that goes on with the two main characters is explained pretty easily due to the benzo abuse. I do think the police department jacked everything up by not doing a complete investigation which would’ve proved that this was suicide. It’s extremely sad but shows how much damage certain relationship can have on someone’s life as it did in my case as well. I’d love yalls in input or thought if yall have listened to more.
Don't bother with Room 20. It's awful. I felt like I had to finish it and it was 3 or so hours of my life that I will never get back.
Why didn’t you tell me this last night?? Jokes aside it’s so awful. Very exploitive too. I read the summary before listening and I thought it was going to be some big scandal where the guy was actually with it the whole time. But no. Instead we get 6 episodes of the host exploiting this poor immigrant during the worst moments of his life
I guess I like true crime that has an ending and doesn't exploit people involved for ad revenue. Need more shows like Casefile and Criminal.
I like listening to the In Our Times science podcasts. Melvyn’s no nonsense layman interaction with the scientists amuses me.
I listened to The Ballad of Billy Balls and somehow forced myself to listen until the end. It was fucking terrible, and the end managed to make it worse.
Just felt like plugging Finding Drago again. I wish more people had heard of it so I could make more references to it.
Anyone listen to 1619? Listened to episode 1. The material is fascinating but that episode jumped from time period to time period all over the place
