bier garden prolly olde london road is a soccer bar but they have a ton of tvs and probably will throw it on for you especially since epl will be over by 2:30. i always enjoy a drink there. juicy lucy's has a good burger that is a bit out of the downtown area
also mack kells has some very good bar food and cheap drinks. out on tunnel road. idk the sports bar scene in asheville is a tough scene
I'm going to a concert on Sunday so that's the main reason for my visit. Saturday I'll watch the Gamecocks game but the rest of the day I'm sure I can find something to amuse me besides sports
If that’s the case I’d do Biergarden or Wild Wing downtown so you can bounce elsewhere easily after the game
I’d question your sources. I’ve heard update dk formation that their may be a back area that has sound. Can confirm main bar area doesn’t.
Been to pack's twice to watch georgia games around 5-6 years ago with a group. Got kicked out both times because they said we drank too much. Said we were very polite, but that we had gone over what they were going to allow us to drink and asked us to leave. 1 of them was mid game georgia/clemson. Was strange both times.
We went there a couple years ago to watch our game against UT, it was a good spot. Cherry on top, Marcus Lattimore showed up in the middle of the first quarter and sat right next to us for the game.
Anybody want my tickets for Local Natives at Orange Peel tomorrow night? I’m sick and not gonna be able to make it
Great time there this weekend, but holy fuck is the AT&T service bad. Like it basically doesn't work at all. I don't remember that from past visits. What happened?
I became allergic to shellfish after college, around 23 years old. Haven’t had shrimp and grits, crab cakes, or any other shellfish since. It is a travesty of epic proportions.
I'm not sure exactly but I've been noticing it more and more. I had almost no service on a hike in Pisgah National Forest which didn't feel optimal. And definitely big stretches on the way to Cherokee with no service at all ...
Nah, Verizon works pretty well according to some people we asked at bars or restaurants. It's just like AT&T is giving up in that town. Weird.
I live here. I have Verizon. It’s not terrible but definitely worse than Atlanta. A bunch of random dead zones.
get in on the 19th and leave on the 21st, so next week i got chicken crispers at an airport b+g once and they ran out of crispers so they served me chicken fingers never again
its the airport road b&g. standalone franchise right beside the olive garden and across the street from bww. its a lovely food area
go to the omni grove and look at the gingerbread houses https://www.romanticasheville.com/gingerbread.htm great romantic destination for young lovers
I do not remember paying. Also edited to go from biltmore to omni park grove inn "There is no admission fee to see the gingerbread creations, but there is a $25/car parking fee (add $5 for valet service). Half of all parking revenue is donated to eight area non-profits. No pets allowed for day visitors."
yeah was hoping it would be a weekend. i'll see what's going on up here. still got some vacation i need to burn by the end of the year before i lose it
Have you had Lexington BBQ (Honey Monk's) yet? It's a real contentious issue w/ my Winston friends from college.
Like half the people legitimately claim it’s the best BBQ in the southeast and the other half think it’s trash. Truly a case study in living off reputation/nostalgia. I enjoyed it, but it’s not “great” by any stretch of the imagination
yup. going with the family to their playoff game friday night actually bc that’s my life now apparently
My Davie County experience is mostly limited to stopping at the rest area on 40 to let my Lab out on the way to the mountains.
my dad's side of the family is from here so i've been around most of my life. rent is cheap af for a house, i like the country and between charlotte and the local bars, there is enough close by to do
