We’ve only got one scholarship available, and we’re using that on Kyree Walker. So I’m not really sure what he’ll do. Will let you know if I hear something
Probably doesn't care. It likely wont be wrapped up until next summer. 90 days to respond, 60 days for them to review and a couple of months to finish the process
I hear a lot of people are saying this is gonna make us the premier blueblood basketball program in the Bible Belt.
Grew up a KU fan in KC, graduated from Clemson in the Tommy Bowden era. Maybe the Mizzou route of coping should be best.
Its quite possible..KU is going to take it on the chin for a couple of years in recruiting, but they also got walloped after Larry Brown. It all comes down to whose coaching.
My sister lives in STL..I've been to the Hill more than a few times bc KC has shitty Italian food for the most part.
KC is by no means a destination for Italian, but it’s far from shitty. Most cities in the south think Olive Garden is suitable Italian.
For a city it's size our Italian food isnt that great. Our Mexican food is definitely better than STL though.
Handmade flour tortillas from Ninfas and tacos from Bickermeyers and the rest of the Kansas ave spots
Yeah, places like San Antonio's & El Pollo Rey. If you're in JoCo then Bonito Michoacan has great marinated meats & KCK made tortillas.
Do you ever eat outside of Johnson County? Have you ever been to the River Market? Do you know what the ‘North End’ is? Have you ever heard of the Pendergast machine? Do you realize the Italian mafia ruled this city for multiple decades? You know there is a James Beard award winning, world renowned Italian Chef that owns 2 restaurants outside of NYC and 1 is in KC?
Never been to KC but I was gonna question the post you quoted with some mafia references, the KC mafia was even mentioned in Casino.
Gotta start out old school. Go to Cascones, Garrazos. Local yokels like Cupinis, Jaspers, Bella Napoli, Trevor Mare. Of course Lidia’s 3 pasta sampler in the freight house. Hell even James Beard winner Michael Smith (Farina) is an Italian joint.
Yeah. It’s a pretty cool part of our history. The New York mob bosses wouldn’t venture to Vegas when they expanded there so all the meetings between New York - Vegas took place in KC. The “Union Station Massacre” was one of the biggest federal law enforcement murders in its time. My wife was the sous chef at one of the places here in town thats been around since that age. One of the owners has dove into that part of our history. He was able to find documents that Capone stayed at their place as well as other mob bosses. Then while renovating they found bullet casings matching those of the 1920-40s. Kind of cool.
Thanks.. I eat outside of JoCo all the time bc it's the suburbs and my best friend lives near the plaza. I've been to Lidia's, Cupini's, Tavernonna, Bravo plus a couple others and wasnt that impressed. The places in JoCo are all overpriced. Guess i needed a list of old school guido approved places. I sort of gave up on looking which is my fault tbqh. lol I got out of JoCo and went to Slap's bbq in KCK yesterday and it was excellent.
Don’t get me wrong. You won’t find Hill or NYC quality here but the “nothing but shitty Italian food” comment was just wrong. Fuck, even Chef Howard at the Reiger will give you an excellent Italian meal.
Lulz. Please tell me of your experience. Also, make sure it is more persuasive than their 4.5+ google rating. I’m all ears.
