sometimes it is funny, sometimes it is just overly awkward, and its just such a negative show. i was about 4 episodes in and stopped watching. feel like there is much better stuff out there to spend my time on. does it get better if i power through?
Great show, just dislike Connor a lot at this point. Get the feeling he’s going to fuck one of the mains over sometime.
Because Logan does nothing not 5 steps ahead I have to assume this flirtation with Rhea is just to get his kids to step up, not a plan to remove Shiv or someone else from the Succession line. It seems too easy to have her take over. Everything Kendall was just crushing to watch. That dude needs help. Actor plays half-catatonic really well. The Tom and Greg back and forth over him hiding the papers was hilarious. "They’re not, in fact, receipts! Greg, you’re a criminal mastermind. What polyglot genius could ever hope to crack your impenetrable code?" Waystar Royco. We do hate speech and roller coasters.
greg has his moments but the hemming and hawing shit was old about 10 episodes ago. everyone else is great.
We even have the queen from the Bud Light commercials on this show now. There is no stopping this juggernaut.
The Kendall rap had me sinking into my chair. Honestly one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever watched from a cringe perspective.
IMO She wants Rhea to fall on the sword by being the CEO for when the cruise stuff breaks (presumably next episode)
Yeah she def does but I thought her talk with her dad was going to convince him accidentally to name her and she would be fucked. Guess the writers want her in play for later seasons still.
I don't know why I am so late to watching this show, but fuck I love it. I hate every single character on the show and I love it. Also.... is a line I will use at work in the next 48 hours.
Thought the Roman plot this episode was confusing. After seeing next week’s preview, the blood sacrifice has to be Tom, right? Especially after he got drilled by Gil in tonight’s ep.
The Roman stuff is just far too simplistic, but glad to see him being put to some use, at least. Guy gives a 12 second speech and boom problem solved. I agree though the sacrifice has to be Tom or Logan stepping down from running things.
1. Shiv is just as bad as the rest of them. 2. Seems like a lot of dangling plot lines heading into the finale. I agree that Tom will be the blood sacrifice. I assume the next episode will center around the board meeting, but I don't know how they wrap up the Sandy/Stewy thing in one episode.
I'm not really sure how, "Okay, okay, our company was caught redhanded with decades of coverups and payoffs, but our COO also committed vehicular manslaughter" really helps anything. Also, seems like a strange move for Rhea to walk away. I mean, I can obviously see why she'd want to get away from the Roy family, but at the same time now is the perfect opportunity for an outside hire to come in and consolidate power.
I think Rhea knew she was being set up. I kind of wanted to see how that played out, but looks like we won’t get that chance.
Bill is definitely the guy that is going to be the big fish to take the stand. He is going to take the stand and bring everyone down leaving us all to wonder wtf is going to happen for a year.
I think Logan knows this. I think that's why Bill showed up to the testimony in the first place, to let the fam know "don't try to put this shit on me." So Logan's "blood sacrifice" refence IMO meant they need a member of the fam to fall on the sword, not an outsider. He tells it to Shiv cause Tom is the best candidate for that role. Take Bill out of the equation if they can assure him he's not gonna be threatened ... But Logan probably doesn't know about Shiv/Tom's "arrangement," so maybe he's not that loyal?
