Tori is right about Cara. Laurel was more annoying this episode but imma need her stop hiding behind dudes and win something.
Unless they didn't showed a bunch of politicking, Cara did nothing to avoid the elimination That sound bite made no sense
No she didn't, she cried and begged CT to pick Dee when he was trying to pick himself after they lost. Idk, I never been a big cara fan. Kyle deserves his revenge with the way Paulie/Cara tortured him last season and I hate people that go into confessional and say "I've paid my dues" or "I've earned my stripes so I shouldn't go in". Nobody is ever above going into any elimination no matter how many challenges you've been on.
I'm torn on this one. I love Laurel but man her getting humbled made such for such a great episode. Plus the blatant political stuff and Johnny cheesing while he rides her coattails, ugh. Meanwhile Ninja is super annoying at worst and kinda boring at best, she won fair and square but I think Laurel beats her if she doesn't mess the rung which means either Ninja is a trash or Laurel still got it.
I still don’t get knocking off your own team. I know they aren’t working together but don’t you want your team (albeit dysfunctional) to be as strong as possible to win the final and split the money? I mean you were losing a top 3 girl regardless of who won last night. How does that make the US team stronger? I get the Indians vs Chiefs argument but talent is talent and you figure out the other stuff.
Johnny has always been about trimming the fat in big team challenges so he can potentially split the money with less people. Seems foolish though to throw a challenge this early. Laurel was bad this season, but didn’t seem any worse than usual. Outside of CT beating people up, Laurel ripping into Eric for no reason is probably the meanest spirited thing in challenge history. She is a horrible human being.
That was one of the more enjoyable episodes of The Challenge I’ve ever watched. Laurel is terrible, and the 180 her fate took in a matter of minutes was awesome. How the elimination played out was perfection. Not a huge fan of Cara this season, but her manipulating CT to vote for Dee is the reason Laurel was in the elimination. Calling him Chris to play on their relationship off the show was particularly well played.
Just caught up, that was amazing. Laurel is terrible, and even though they edited it well, it was clear Ninja beat her to the top and would’ve won easily had a hole been up there, so the right person still one. How it happened was just fantastic.
Tori is annoying bitch. I don't get why people hype her up, she only beat Marie and then let Jordan carry her. She has been hiding behind Jordan and John for 2 seasons and I hate her fake accent in confessionals.
is there a main female cast member that isn't terrible on this show? I don't think I can think of one that I really root for. There aren't even any that are fun to hate like Wes or Bananas. I liked Georgia last season but this season not as much.
You can also argue that Laurel, Tori, Nany and some of the other Team USA girls were so gung ho about getting Kam, Ninja and others out, so why not go do it yourself? The reality being that no matter how good you think are, you’re one crap shoot elimination from getting Devin’d.
So much to unpack after catching up. Really impressed how the US team imploded while they were still winning. I know Wes was making deals with the Brits, but to start throwing in your in team that quick was stupid. Bananas seems to be trying to be more front and center this season. Leroy telegraphing Bananas throwing a challenge in the confessional then sitting around while he's screams at people Laurel looked worried about getting put in while they were tossing the names out. Kinda felt bad for Cara, she seemed to be pretty normal so far until I saw the previews for the next episode. Was waiting for the Ashley blow up. Only thing missing was her screaming about wanting to go home.
Bananas and Leroy are boys. He wasn't telegraphing, he was telling. And he wasn't going to say anything to anyone else
The Theo eye thing happened after the season so it is not a spoiler but I agree with no vague spoilers
I'm always amazed at ppl who can't fucking swim.... At all. Especially ppl who have been on the show at least once
Finally caught up on the last 2 episodes -Agree with most ITT about Laurel. Man is she going to look foolish at the reunion when they show how Kyle completely made up those players that were with Wes which sent her into a nuclear attack. Great grenade thrown by Kyle. Her and Johnny throwing that challenge to get rid of Ninja was pretty pathetic. Especially with Laurel going around with her book trying to get someone other than herself thrown in. Amazing that Bananas got Laurel to do all his dirty work that episode to try and get the numbers on his side -Yeah had Ninja gotten the pole into the hole on her way up she would have crushed laurel. That entire 180 from Laurel winning to losing was orgasmic, especially with Laurel celebrating and talking all that shit. -Bananas pulling all these shady moves behind the scenes then being upset when people do it back to him is always hilarious. Him trying to manipulate Josh only for Paulie to turn it around and manipulate both of them was a helluva power move. I have to respect it. -Josh is the worst. Him begging Cara not to throw in her own team member after he got emotional and manipulated by Laurel/Johnny to throw wes in is pathetic. He really is awful but I'm afraid theyll keep him in as the sacrificial lamb until they need to dump him later on this season. -Now that Bananas, Laurel and Wes are gone these teams are rather even.
Id bet she’ll be there and spin it to that she was correct in attacking them and still believes she beat ninja
she already did an interview shortly after the episode aired and claimed she was screwed. If she's telling the truth, she has a legit complaint. Crew verified she was complete and TJ blew the horn so they both stopped. Said his horn always means it's over, not to stop so they can check. She said she asked for a reset since both missed the spot (apparently a camera was covering it up) but Ninja was allowed to just finish even though that's not the norm on the show.
Meh had she just replaced it and beat ninja to the top it wouldn’t have mattered but she stopped and ninja kept going and rang the bell Either way laurel sucks and fuck her
Didn’t someone say that Ninja was just chilling at the top looking for the final hole awhile before Laurel got up there and clearly was ahead?
Yeah. Ninja was at the top for a but looking for the hole. Laurel cheated. Numerous times TJ has taken a win away from cheaters
Yeah i mean when u just throw the last stick into a random spot instead of where it’s supposed to go then that’s cheating
If u go back and watch a lot laurels antics were done in hopes of gaining bananas approval Wes didn’t choose wisely hitching his wagon to joss/Rogan and bananas did the same hitching his to laurel and Leroy who is completely useless
Turbo gonna fuck up a handicap American next week. It's amazing seeing the Americans falter when they have to work together. Zach is such a bitch
with all the new and interesting competitors introduced over the last few seasons, them making Dee a focal point of this season is pretty poor choice. hopefully it's all just a setup for drama because her or Rogan is going to be eliminated soon
she can't swim, is afraid of heights, isn't particularly athletic or coordinated and is bad at puzzles/trivia. Pretty much her only attribute as a competitor is that she's thicker than all the other girls (pretty sure last season one of the girls had to go against her and was like "but she fat"). She lasted because of Wes last season and with Rogan this season but somehow has translated it in her head that she's one doing it all. Also Ninja has had a pretty favorable edit so far, I'm sure it's because MTV wants to play up the Ninja Warrior thing but I feel like we're starting to see cracks that she sucks as a person. Zach is a complete asshole but I also feel like he's often the mouth piece for what a lot of the others think. Just like him going off on Paulie/Cara last year and Amanda the season before that. hope it is this, if not there is no reason for their story line getting air time
Ninja and Dee are by far the worst new additions, they are so damn annoying. Rogan and Joss are pretty awful as well just how douchey they are.
