Haha I wouldn't hate it! I do think that is very high to draft Moses, who is coming off a major injury. Think he's a freak but I'd like to see him have a healthy, dominant season before taking him top 15. The last time we took a very promising, athletic SEC player coming off a major injury was Jason Allen and that didn't work out very well.... I'd be fine taking him in the mid to late 20s but that seems very high to me. Upside is there though... but he was projected to go in that range before the injury... would make you think he'd slip at least 10 picks or so but idk.
If we were to switch those picks from Smith or ruggs going first and Moses our 3rd 1st youd be happier?
Denver out of the race. Darnold should be back soon, we lose to Washington next week and all we have to worry about is cincy
Rosen benched. I maintain that was a terrible trade. Should have taken a player that could actually contribute
Not in the fighting mood but our franchises have made it so much a mess that I can't even fathom a solution. We have like 2-3 decent nfl starters, you seem to have the same.
imagine trading a second rounder for a guaranteed loss kind of guy to turn around and tank for tua. What a baffling trade.
It really is amazing Could’ve gone to Chase Winovich, who we all wanted and would be our best player on defense right now
Hindsight is easy but if you could get a legit top 10 QB for a second rounder and then keep your #1 overall for something else (or you have a "great backup" and still take Tua) I still say the risk was worth it, especially when you have loaded up on so many more picks. And Rosen might actually still be good but no one will ever know.
teams don't trade legit top 10 QB's in year two on rookie contracts. I don't care if Rosen isn't a fit for Arizona's system or their HC. They saw something in him that said he's not good enough that we'll find a coach that fits well with him.
PFF update b/c I'm bored: -One of the few bright spots this season is that Flores' scheme has made the light come on from Raekwon. After being average to below average his first two seasons, he is one of the highest graded LB in the NFL. He is currently ranked 4th among all LB in the NFL (excluding Jack/Edge Rusher types). That's as big of a jump in one season as I've ever seen for a Dolphins player. He is one of the highest graded in the league against the run and has improved his coverage ability, but still can get better there. -Jerome Baker, however, has been horrible after a really promising rookie year. Maybe he doesn't fit the 3-4 as well? He had a 70 overall grade last year and it's 41 this year... and he's been equally bad in coverage as against the run. Not really sure what is going on here. -Rosen has been god awful, rated 46. The OL is also pretty much a total disaster. -Xavien Howard has had a huge dropoff but that is likely because the players around him are total trash. Bobby McCain has been our highest graded coverage guy but even he has been only slightly above average. -John Jenkins has been a nice find and is our highest rated DL. Wilkins and Godcheaux have been about average, which for young guys isn't so bad on this team. Jenkins leads the team in pass rushing grade. Harris and Taco Charlton have sucked... pass rusher has to be near the top of our list for next season because we don't really have anybody who can do it currently. -The Biegel guy, the LB we got from the Saints in the Kiko deal iirc, hasn't played very much but when he has he's been one of our higher graded defenders. Like to see more of him. -I was a bit surprised to see that our kicker is rated fourth worst in the NFL. I thought he was solid...
What's a realistic ask for Drake? Maybe a 6th? I guess it beats nothing since we obviously aren't going to extend him this offseason.
