I had something from Dashboard Confessional. My hopes are so high, That your kiss might kill me. So won't you kill me, So I die happy. My heart is yours to fill or burst, To break or bury, Or wear as jewelry, Whichever you prefer.
I’m listening to a football podcast. They said Baker would have had a higher QB rating if he spiked the ball every snap instead of playing the game. That’s crazy lol
From the QB tiers update at The Athletic Trending down Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns 2019 Tier: Low 2 Projected 2020 Tier: Low 3 Mayfield was the quarterback in the survey whose results exceeded my expectations the most. Yes, there was much to like about Mayfield last season. Yes, adding Odell Beckham would give him a marquee weapon. But with an unproven head coach, a perceived lack of structure/discipline and so much hype surrounding the Browns, would Mayfield have the maturity to succeed right away? It hasn’t gone well so far. “He would be the opposite of Lamar Jackson,” an evaluator said. “Instead of identifying what he needed to work on to keep progressing, Baker made commercials. Unfortunately, it was kind of like what happened with RGIII going into his sophomore year. You know every player in the NFL sees it. You know it gets brought up. Has this guy done enough to be on every other commercial? Now you have defensive players rubbing his nose in it.” Mayfield has five touchdown passes with 11 interceptions during the Browns’ 2-4 start. There is still optimism for him over the long term, but there are questions about his approach, how he is being coached and what the future holds. “If you watched them in preseason, there was an interference call way out on the field, Baker wasn’t even playing and the head coach let him yell at the officials on the field,” an exec said. “They come explain it to Freddie (Kitchens) and Baker is yelling at them next to the head coach, and no one stops him. You gotta make the puppies take a whiz on the newspaper or they piss all over the house forever.” The schedule gets tougher from here. Mayfield faces New England and Denver on the road, followed by home games against Buffalo and Pittsburgh.
I know it doesn’t fit the narrative we’re going for here, but the guy who asked the question is a notorious instigator. Not only that, but he proceeded to interrupt Baker multiple times while Baker answered his question. Nobody’s going to argue that Baker hasn’t had a bad 1st half, but most of Cleveland is behind him in calling Grossi on his bullshit.
Truly passionate people don’t go around endlessly telling others how passionate they are. They just immerse themselves in their interests and their passion is self-evident. Baker is using the Demarcus Cousins “I care more about winning than everyone else” approach to justify acting like an emotional basket case.
Me too, for you. Going through the Jamesis years I can relate to what is about to happen in Cleveland
Maybe this guy shouldn’t have spent an entire off season running his mouth and completely failing to live up to the hype
